There is a lot of truth there as progression is always there but still I have to believe that there are many so called moderates in the democrat party that can’t swallow what the DSA is offering.
Do you see evidence of that? I suspect there is about 10-20% at most of DNC voters who are still moderate to consider making a switch.
Most of them that I’ve seen just move from the areas run by the hard left to suburbs and red areas and continue to vote blue, but I’m sure some of the people who moved to FL/TX/TN/GA made a switch when they got there.

I never voted for Marjoree Taylor Green in any primary, but I did during the General to avoid Democrats. However, Green was NOT looking to destroy America; rather, I thought she was a carpet bagging nut (and I was right).
If the GOP nomiated someone who hated and wanted to destroy America, I wouldn't vote Dem - I would just not vote.

You think MTG wanted to destroy America? What do you base that on?
I’m assuming you voted for Trump?

You’re letting your Marxism show. This is the same arguments leftists use to justify taking money from other classes.
This isn’t a generation discussion, it’s a governance discussion. All of the issues that got us here were caused by elites of both parties making moves that enrich the ruling class at the expense of the rest of us. They are still doing it in both parties and by keeping us divided along stupid ideological lines they can maintain a balance that keep anything from being done.

Asking someone who said they did all the right things whether the outcomes they’re passing on is Marxism? WTF?

I was responding to a quote from someone who self identified as a boomer and said they didn’t care what happened to younger generations.
They were responding to my prompt which was to say that if “we” collectively as the right want to beat the socialist left the younger voters and older voters will both have to be able to agree to vote for things that allow the other side to get what they need from the coalition.
If one side doesn’t GAF about the other getting what they need within the coalition there won’t be a coalition because not everyone benefits.

False. The majority of republican voters still support Trump.
The division in the GOP is caused by the minority - the voters who constantly complain, parrot democrat/MSM talking points, and take pleasure in a loss for Trump supporters even when it is a loss for the country.
It's the limpwrist, emotionally unstable TDS conservatives driving the infighting. They need to accept that they are the minority and realize that their actions only harm the right.
All of their whining strengthens the democrats and pushes away independents.
This is the simple truth based on the numbers, but the TDS crew can't accept that they are the minority in the party. They are the loudest, and that makes them think they have more representation than they do.
We can't unite to fight the democrats when part of the party is constantly looking for reasons to attack its leader. This should be common sense to everyone, but apparently it's not.

It's paying off for them, in a BIG way, right now, with CofC 'donations'. No different than sinking the economy with forever wars. You think that they are interested in the best outcome for America, they are interested in their personal gain.
This is entirely correct.
The GOPe leadership in DC is IMO solely interested in advancing what’s best for their donors and are basically just there to represent the chamber of commerce perspective.
I think most GOPe voters support that stuff because they want to compromise to win elections and believe in trickle down economics and low taxes driving growth for themselves and maybe others?
The question as it relates to the coalition at large is do they continue to partner with MAGA-AF to win elections then obstruct to keep that agenda from advancing or do they openly break and join with the DNCe as they lose power within the coalition?

i think you are right. trump got a lot of hispanic votes last time. republicans will lose them. there really is no reason for them to support republicans. i think texas redrew congress lines in south texas hoping to turn the rio grand valley red. i don't see that happening now.

As opposed to America hating Dems?
That’s hilarious

I am not passing any situation to the pissing and moaning younger generation.

No changes from 1980 to now you can think of?
Probably changes have happened as they always do. You do remember there was slavery in this country at one point.

Zero mistakes made or legacy decisions that might be regrets that are now causing negative outcomes to future generations?
Probably. But it's up to you who will live here for the next forty or fifty years to figure it out.
There is a lot of turmoil in this country. So as I had the privilege in my lifetime to hear arguments for a hundred genders, you get to try to fight back against or join in a Marxist America. Good luck, really. It's not my fight but it could be yours.
Your generations have foisted this shite on us.

Oops...good catch. Added the word "NOT" as that was the only reason I did vote for her in the Generals, as she was/is just a nut.

All I know is that an large majority of voters chose Trump. While I understand that some might not be happy with him presently, the idea of those voters voting for a socialist wanting to destroy The Constitution is too large of a leap.
I also believe we'll see a continuation of weak GOP Congressman being replaced.

Well you’ve done it. You’re like the David Allen Coe of the political board because you’ve written the perfect synopsis of what the younger generations assume boomers are thinking.
While you gloat about not being around to experience the long term consequences of the political decisions of the last 30-40 years, those of us who will or who at least care enough about their children and grandchildren to attempt to create a viable right wing coalition capable of defeating the emerging socialist DNC politically are trying to figure out how to cut the Gordian knot of bad situations we inherited whether you acknowledge them or not.

Weak how though? How do you define weak?
Weak as in didn’t support Trump regardless of changes in his policy or weak as in didn’t vote conservative in congress because those are two completely different things.

They aren’t weak. They are making money. It’s all they care about.

Right
Think it. And I wish you the best of luck managing the chaos going forward. If I get you a little apology, will you feel better? Because we want our young folk to always feel good. Maybe a participation trophy.

People who still buy into the left vs right paradigm are funny to me.
