Yet we were still spending as if we weren’t $40 trillion in the hole.
Again, we need more Republicans to fix this, not fewer.
We had about 225 Republicans in Congress and 50 in the Senate. None of them was interested in fixing it. Neither was the President

Yes, they believed that only white male property owners should vote. If that never changed, we would have gone through multiple violent revolutions since, and none of you bitching today would exist because your ancestors would have been beheaded in one of those revolutions.
No if only white male property owners could vote this country would be whitekanda
Non landowners shouldn’t be allowed to post here. And that doesn’t mean a house either, the bank owns that

Fixed it for you.
Only 6% of the population was able to vote in our nation's first elections. All were property owners. Not all were white. There were some very wealthy land owners of color who were able to vote. Hell, women who owned property in states like New Jersey were voting.

The United States fought the Barbary Wars (1801–1815) against the semi-autonomous North African states of Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli (the Barbary Coast) to stop state-sponsored piracy and extortion against American merchant shipping.

Some of you are dense. Maybe we can demand better from the GOP?

Protecting the flow of commerce has always been within the purview of our foreign policy. Preemptively attacking other countries for “WMDs” or the 35 year old nukes is not what they envisioned. Do you think it is?

You post this as though Trump didn't attempt to ignore the Constitution probably 2 dozen times and MAGA didn't cheer it on every single time.
You post this as though MAGA didn't also routinely propose blatant 1st Amendment violations any time it suited them and justified it by saying, "What good is the Constitution if we lose the whole country?"
The statement is true.
And it was true long before Tuesday.

This is false. They were trying to fix it. You just weren't paying attention to what was stopping them.
Like complete idiots, our population voted in the ones who are responsible for stopping them.

If you take away the 12th and 17th amendments, you wouldn’t have these pendulum swings from one Congress or POTUS to the next.
The VP would be of another party and wouldn’t be an automatic vote for the Executive for ties in the Senate (an additional check on POTUS), and the Senators would be appointed by the state legislatures instead of popular vote. Things would likely look radically different.
Instead, through amendments, checks and balances have been removed and allow for these huge swings.

And slightly ironic that John Adams was a Unitarian.

Well back then just about all the landowners were white and male. And we would be much better off if only landowners could vote now, regardless of race or gender

Shortly before his death at age 100, Henry Kissinger stated that mass immigration of people with completely different cultures and religions was a "grave mistake"

This isnt a Trump Issue. This is a national issue that our voters do not understand.
I think a lot more voters understand than you think. Trump had 2 years of the majority in Congress his 1st term and 2 years in his 2nd term. They don’t see him or his party making a big difference, making their lives better, bringing down the debt, or a lot of other things that were promised in 2016 and 2024.
