I don’t understand how you can read and believe in the Bible and support this.

Henry the VIII did his work well…only took about 500 years but whatever remains of the Church of England and it’s direct descendant the Episcopal church is essentially a dead church

Mainline Protestant church’s will be dead over next 100 years or so.

Only church’s remaining will be Catholic/orthodox and non Denominational (aka the church of me and my beliefs)

quote:

As Episcopalians, we believe in and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world. We believe that God loves you – no exceptions.

The Episcopal Church embraces a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; people of all genders and sexual orientations serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy work together in leadership and governance.

Core to our Beliefs: Book of Common Prayer “It is a most invaluable part of that blessed ‘liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free,’ that in his worship different forms and usages may without offense be allowed, provided the substance of the Faith be kept entire” (Book of Common Prayer, p. 9). The Book of Common Prayer is a treasure chest full of devotional and teaching resources for individuals and congregations, but it is also the primary symbol of our unity. We, who are many and diverse, come together in Christ through our worship, our common prayer.

Yeah…When some other text other than the Bible is the most invaluable part of your religion, you’re not Christian.

FACT

as a catholic i can see that happening.

all are fighting internal struggles. . but anyway, yeah, the episcopal, lutheran, northern baptist, a sect of the presbyterians and methodist now openly ordain and marry homosexuals.

did they not read scripture or follow traditions? HERESY! these are not christian churches anymore. failures of the protestant reformation.

1 Timothy 4:1
4 The Holy Spirit tells us in plain words that in the last days some people will turn away from the faith. They will listen to what is said about spirits and follow the teaching about demons.

For a long time, the phrase Jesus said about depart from me, I never knew you really scared me. But “churches” like this and the ones who support at will abortion are what that means I think.

The Episcopal Church in Alabama is hemorrhaging members. Many have moved to the Anglican Church under the supervision of conservative African bishops.
