People are busy. They used to be able to get a decent amount of straight up news every evening from their tv in 30 minutes and stay reasonably up on things. It is shocking how much people are lied to these days and people need to be shocked. Not just say one thing and be done with it. It is going to take some effort on our part. Stop using products by their advertisers. Stop watching those channels entirely. The right are not mobilized well at all and that has to change.

This is why I try to talk about it when I can with people affected by racism. You can see anything you want online or on TV about race. I like to get first hand opinions when I can. It's a small sample pool, but I trust that more than what you get on the tube. I found his comments bizarre that he believes Trump is racist but is going to vote for him instead. I also should have asked if he believed that the liberal candidates were in his corner or if they were just pandering. I imagine he would have said the latter.

I haven't really seen anything Trump has done as president that marks him a racist. He has made some unsavory comments in the past but his policies are nowhere near geared towards discriminatory practices and anyone who believes he is that way, I would like to see an example. His policies are geared towards Americans. Rich, middle, poor, black, white, Asian, Mexican. Doesn't matter. In fact, I find it impressive how he has kept his eye on the ball throughout his presidency to keep us driving forward despite everything the left has flung at him.

This is all about the hit piece by the NYT. They (NYT) have shown themselves to be completely biased.

You haven't been paying attention. He is an equal opportunity offender. Ask "sleazebag" Comey. Or "Little" Marco Rubio. He doesn't have a filter.

People who say Obama was born in Kenya are questioning his eligibility to be President. It has nothing to do with race. The Dems questioned Ted Cruz's eligibility. Are they anti-Hispanic?

Trump is not a racist. Crying race has become the preferred tactic of progressives to tear down their opponents. They will do it to anyone who opposes them. They do it especially when the economy is going well and they need a reason to advance their Socialist agenda.

What? Trump goes after anyone who attacks him regardless of race and we all knew who fired the shot in their feud.

Please name another POTUS who's done more regarding criminal justice reform, black unemployment and support for HBCU's?

The man still thinks that Obama was born in Kenya.

Obama used a bio for 15 years that claimed he was born in Kenya. Before he ran for POTUS Michelle Obama made a speech in which she claimed Kenya was Barack's home country.

When it was no longer expedient to Obama to claim he was from Kenya. He began to claim he was born in Hawaii.

He had his little magic race card he could always pull if somebody brought up his past claims of Kenyan born.

Michelle says Kenya is Barack's home country.

By the way, Hillary was the first to point out that Barack Obama was born in Kenya.

Let's be honest. "Trump is a racist" comments are never challenged by MSM, and in fact they reinforce that idea in their "news" reports. After hearing something enough, people will believe it whether it is substantiative or not.

Something that's "common knowledge" like that among almost everyone he knows can be tough to counter. He may well be the type that has to look into it then chew on what he finds for a while.

Still, that someone who believes Trump is racist is still willing to vote for him because he sees the good Trump has done as President... that says a ton because polls seem to indicate he's not the only non-white person planning to vote for Trump this year.

I'm fully expecting this Presidential election to look a LOT like 1996, just with the parties reversed.

Assuming he doesn't actually think you're racist, he sounds like some white people I used to know. Blacks this, blacks that, and then you point out a good person that they're friends with and you get "oh, he's different". Or 40 years ago "he's black, he's not a ******". No different from a black person talking about "white trash".

Yes, it's a generalization, but my grandfather once told me that a lot of white southerners don't like the black race but they love black individuals. In the north white people claim they love the black race but they don't like black individuals. There's a lot of truth to that, especially in areas like Baltimore.

Sounds like this guy has the southern attitude about white people, or at least white Republicans. If he doesn't know them, they're probably racist. If he does, then they're different from the rest of the racists.

Blacks don't think Democrat politicians aren't racist. I think most blacks think that most white people are racist. Blacks vote for Democrats because, like most people, they vote their immediate self-interest, and they believe that Democrats will do more to help them.

It's pragmatic and not as mindless as we like to pretend.

I hunt and fish with a black guy who is probably as conservative as anyone on this board, yet he and his wife had Stacy Abrams For Governor stickers on their cars. Baffling, but so far we’ve each remained mum on politics when we are together.

This is a case of believing what you want to believe.

This is a true statement. Moreover, they think the Republicans will take assistance away. Even if they agree that Blacks need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, their feeling is that Republicans will pull the rug out from under them while getting there.

This^^^^ is exactly what I find when I speak with a typical generational Dim voter. When I press a Dim on why they hate Trump they generally start with DimMedia talking points and narratives, after I debunk the Dim Download they've willing accepted from the DimMedia one of two things usually happens......they resort to Orange Man Bad or sometimes I can tell they're starting to use a little independent thought and that's a major breakthrough.
