I wonder if people realize that the B-52 can self-designate with sniper pod for laser-guided bombs and also drop jdams which are GPS guided munitions so therefore you're not going to see Arc light strikes like Vietnam in Iran.

My big concern with this war is that we seem to think that we're going to get a favorable regime change by missiles, bombs, and drone strikes...and I don't think that is possible without doing things that will be not be remembered favorably in history books centuries from now if we aren't still the victors of history at that moment.
If the goal is to utterly ruin the Islamic Republic then arm some Kurdish rebels then we're just going to be dealing some bullshite there for generations. Maybe it will be not as bad for a while but that isn't going to be a long longterm fix.
The long longterm fix is to destroying every single element of Iranian society. Probably killing a bone chilling number of civilians. Leaving the country in such ruin that capitulation to the US world order is paramount to their survival as a people. Yeah, if history is not written by us some distant time from now then we will be pinned for a Persian Genocide.
However, I think that is REALLY what it would take to get what we say we want and not kick the can down the road and create new faces in control of a gadfly arab state.
I know people won't like hearing this but it is the truth.
