In the old days, the adage of "If it bleeds it leads" meant one drove more eyes to their newspaper articles or newscasts by throwing red meat out there. Reddit has supercharged this, driving their users into a frenzy of emotionally based irrational hatred for the sake of engagement.
Nearly every terrorist attacker's profile, seems like the average poster in r/politics. I'm all about free speech, but when a website is driving a cadre of left wingers to try to kill jews and burn them alive, everyone should take a step back and re-assess.

I remember over a decade ago professional women would post in r/neworleans asking if it's ok to jog alone on a Sunday at 11:00pm in the CBD or from a short term rental in Treme (pick your place).
The far left mods and wing nut lefties would basically say "Yes! Anyone who tells you otherwise is a racist nazi. It's totes fine." Questioning that got me banned. I still wonder how many women traveling for business in Nola have been robbed or sexually assaulted because of a complete false sense of security promoted by left wingers on Reddit.

I actually believe r/Louisiana is further left than r/Politics. I was banned by both almost immediately, but more so on LA. I was new at Reddit so had no warning. I don’t even think that I said anything controversial.

I think at one point, one of the mods in r/louisiana was a gay dude (no judgement) in a low tier law school who in left wing subreddit post of his, showed he had a hammer and sickle tattooed on his forearm and a CCP era communist flag on his wall.
