The murder weapon was manufactured between 1898 and 1918. It was then re-calibered from the German Army caliber to 30.06 so it could shoot US Army rifle ammo.

Is it possible that the age and re-calibration of this weapon caused some measure of wear and tear that would allow this old bolt to leak some propellant gas when fired? This weapon is well over 100 years old when fired.

Thats the answer then.

Plus Tyler Robinson fits the mold of this type of shooter. He is also more than intelligent enough and had motive. He admitted to the killing to his family and closest friends. Hes way too intelligent and sane to be a patsy IMO.

Plus Utah/ Mormons are solid and very moral people. It wouldn't be the right place to try a CIA hit job.

All the evidence points to Tyler acting alone. The only angle that seemed weird was the bullet talk but the gun is old AF and retrofitted.

The Butler PA thing still makes zero sense but the Kirk assassination makes way more sense.

If they were going to lie, make the cartridge a 300 blackout so the conspiracy freaks have less holes to punch around

Don't you dare question the government, main stream legacy news media, OR the fails main narrative here, bro.

None of that has anything to do with the question

Yes it does. The question asked was why would the FBI plant a weapon.

The answer is because they cannot be trusted. I gave a small example of why they can’r be trusted. There are many, many more examples.

No, the question is why would the FBI plant a weapon that is too powerful to produce the results you think you saw.

The weapon will have limited effect on the round. Have the details on exactly what 3006 round was used?

That is the most interesting thing I would like to know. Not impossible but rare for a modern 3006 round to do what that round did.

My question is - that gun was ancient. What if it fired accurately but didnt perform the way a modern rifle that delivers the same bullet would perform?

Has anyone addressed the unique nature of his grandfather's gun? Isn't it possible it had been modified?

That's not a thing when it comes to power. That's determined by the powder in the cartridge and length of barrel and weight of bullet. The rifle is just a way to set it off as accurately as possible.

I've killed a mountain of whitetail deer with a 30-06. I've trapped bullets in the carcass more than a half dozen times. It's not that unusual to be honest. Those were almost all after it hit a single rib. Spine is much tougher and definitely can turn a bullet. It can straight up stop it as well. It can also get a hole blown through it.

The level of ignorance is such a question shows you are zip tied to your recliner and on a feed tube of FoxNews and CNN alternately dripped into your morbidly corroded brain.

Prolly wedged under one of the uneven legs of the table they did the his autopsy on to keep it level. So pristine it could be used to reload, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Bruh, do you even MLK?

The ballistics from the rifle “used” by James Earl Ray have NEVER matched with the bullet recovered from MLK…NEVER…read the multiple FBI and even DoD reports done on it.

And we'll probably never see a ballistics report done on Butler...if it even exists.

You’re right. Funny how the background re: attempted assassination of a President has just faded into the ether.

Folks on here just posting nonsense re: MLK and .30/06 show they’re just parroting Neocon talking heads and don’t even bother to peruse just 1 page of Google on subject.

These people are idiots.

They run tests in labs.

I’ve killed hundreds of deer with a 30 06 and other rifles in my life. If there’s one thing I’ve learned for certain, it’s that not every bullet performs the same each time it enters a body.

I’ve seen loads disintegrate, pass through, not pass through, hit the spine and ricochet down it lodging in the ham.

This is in total horse shite under real life circumstances.

This is kind of a separate issue...but I still want to know if the firefighter and other members of the crowd who were struck by gunfire in Butler were only struck by 5.56 rounds.

So a person has never been shot with a high caliber rifle with no exit wound. Amazing.
