Something very, very bad needs to happen to squatters beyond eviction.

So, you are upset that this is a civil dispute under local law rather than a criminal matter? She has to file an eviction. Egads, it is almost like Mad Max.

So, Hank, when you run up to WalMart to buy a case of Bud Light, and come home to find a squatter had just moved in, you’d be happy with having to go through court and get a civil judgement? Might take months, the squatter can change the locks, do $100,000 in damage…egads, it’s almost like Mad Max.

Like every liberal, I'm sure he'll have some nebulous excuse as to why the rule shouldn't apply to him, but he's perfectly fine watching others suffer -- particularly the conservative types.

Black female, 98% chance she voted Democrat.

If so, while I feel for her, it might as well happen to people who put Dems in office and set up laws like this.

For progressive run cities and states, sure.

Happy? Of course not. Where did you get such a stupid notion?

The POINT is that this IS the way these things are normally handled throughout the Anglosphere. There is nothing unusual about this instance.

If anyone ever squats in my house I’m not calling the police until after the shooting.

So you are now adding squatters to your list of people to knight for?

I bet this squatter is a trannie, hence your quick arrival in the thread.

If so, then she may have to reconsider that decision going forward.

The woman was deployed in our military. While she was away, a man broke into her home. He cost her a $495K cash sale, in addition to any damage he's done to the home. She was set to clear $150K.

If he'd taken her $25K car, he'd be facing up to $100K and 20yrs in jail. But instead he took her home, and the police say "Not our problem."

It is absurd.

Your inability to distinguish between “defending” and “explaining” is just sad.

If she quit paying her property taxes the government would get him out.

We need fewer laws and more whipping of arse.

The laws don't work and seemingly protect the wealthy and the poor. Not the regular guy.

If this were my home, I would proudly be judged by a jury after taking matters into my own hands.

What’s wrong with physically removing the trespasser?

If he hopped in my car and claimed it was his I’d physically remove the person even if I had to recruit a posse.

Sure glad I don’t live in a liberal shite hole.

Hank may need further info.

Is the squatter a trannie? A drag queen that specifically targets children under 10 for his audience?

If so…then his post history suggests that Hank would be:

I don’t think I would care what the “law” says. I’m dragging the person out. If my DA has enough guts to put their job on the line to charge me, so be it. Good luck next election. It’s my house. I’m not putting up with that bull. If a jury finds me guilty, then maybe I’m moving after I fulfill my suspension.

Same. That squatter would be fricking miserable.

Never trust the courts to protect your property, never trust lawyers to protect your freedom.
