Do not Texas my Louisiana you Texas Liberals. Conservatives are more than welcome here to vote red, but we do not want the liberal mind virus over here. Half of the state is illiterate to begin with.

She sounds a lot like the Priscilla Gonzalez bitch that tried to infiltrate CD-3 in Louisiana. She came here solely to run for Congress. Fortunately, we were smart enough to tell her to go the frick back where she came from. Too bad Texans aren’t that smart.

Please do this.
This country desperately needs to be shown by example how government interference in the free-market causes supply shortages and an overall decrease in standard of living. Let's also do it for rent, food, etc.
Give the people the socialism they voted for and deserve.

The timeline for them to show true colors is going to be much shorter than I thought
And it won’t be long before buyer’s remorse sets in
It's true that stupid people playing stupid games receive stupid prizes, unfortunately in this midterm election we all get to share in the stupid prizes with the stupid people who placed the DSA in power....AGAIN!!!!!

The first chapter explains why this is a bad idea. Should be required reading in high school.

When you vote socialism you get socialism.
And if anyone wants to know how this happens, just go visit any game thread. People can't even hold their shite together for 30 minutes. Constant panic.

That’ll be funny to see in a deregulated market with freedom to chose laws.
Yeah no kidding
I don't think people outside of TX would really know what you're talking about but the logistical hurdles around that would be a nightmare
Explain it to us then?
All I know is that TX has its own grid. And they started mixing in alternative options that could have helped bring it down a few years back. At least not dependable when it was needed.

These idiots lack both common sense and business sense. They are like children making decisions on pure emotion. It's like asking a child if they would rather a candy bar or a $100 bill. They don't know the difference, so they go for the thing with immediate gratification.

Texas is a deregulated utility market. CenterPoint is the regulated grid operator but there are hundreds of retail electric providers that are private companies (I’m actually part owner in one). There’s not a good mechanism to regulate private companies like there is for PUC regulated utilities like the rest of the country has. There’s also freedom to chose laws that prevent predatory utility practices and those utilities have customer contracts.
ETA this is the simple version. There’s some differences when you get into Oncor, El Paso, CPS, etc but they’re not the major problem.

This sentiment is unhelpful. This shite spreads. Schadenfreude is whistling past the grave. It’s like wishing your brother has cancer because he smokes.

Yeap, it's worked so well in other states where that was attempted, like Maryland. Texas, be ready to pay higher than ever rates!

To the retarded under 30 crowd who have never read a history book price controls sound like a great idea. Just wait til the lights go off and stay off morons.

Horrible comparison, cancer to making the decision to not vote or vote for a Leftist when you had every chance to not do either of those things lol until there are real consequences for stupidity at the ballot box then nothing will change. The states of Georgia and Texas need to suffer the consequences of their stupidity. It’s probably too late for Georgia but Texas still has hope

TX has its own grid
Seems that was a Cold War strategy since Texas had many military bases, munition plants, oil and natural gas. If the main US grid went down from foreign attack, at least the grid in Texas would still be operable.
