I think folks are overconfident this will be a one and done. Every other country that has elected a middle easterner has seen proliferation. I fully expect it here unfortunately.

The Right (of which I consider myself part of) has several batshit crazy conspiracy theories that undermine the logical ideals we hold. This and flat earth are at the top of the list. I have several buddies who buy them and it blows my mind.

More concerning than her actual rhetoric is that has adopted a phony, ghetto rhetoric BECAUSE IT APPEALS TO HER VOTERS. There are plenty of early videos showing her speaking with proper grammar and enunciating her words clearly. It is a dire sign of our culture and the intelligence of the average vote that she performs this way because it is popular. Scary.

This is Trump’s biggest gamble yet. The markets are extremely volatile and founded on emotion. Herbert Hoover employed tariffs that are widely regarded as having precipitated the depression. If Trump pulls off correcting the market inequities without causing a market collapse it will be his greatest achievement.
