The main point is to increase voter participation. I imagine plenty of people have walked away on election day due to a sizable line.

It is almost as if they want voting to be hard so that those who really need government will wait in line while those who are satisfied and happy decide they are just not going to wait that long.
It is a scam no doubt about it. With 4 - 5 times the population over a 100 year peroiod, yet the number of polling places is still the same.

During this first week, it's probably 70/30 (D)/(R) turnout. The mailers from the "Texas Transgender Student Union" in Meadows Place, TX have started being delivered today. It includes a "Texas Trans & LGBTQ+ Student Resource Guide," targeted at least at high school students. I'm sure the timing is no coincedence.
