He’s very clearly not a DSA candidate,

What’s the policy differences between him and a candidate wearing the DSA tie clip?

He’s DSA but can’t admit it in Texas.

Sorry about your emotions. I voted against a communist today.

Well sure, but I can’t do anything about it.

Appreciate the honesty. That’s an interesting strategy.

Went to vote today, and although my line wasn’t this bad, it definitely sucked.

I’ll check back again tomorrow

That’s good turnout on day 1

It’s a good sign for republicans that deep red counties Montgomery and bell have just as high or higher turnout than deep blue counties Dallas and Travis, with Travis being the lowest turnout.

Republican motivation is the question for midterms and this is a positive sign. Sure you don’t know who they voted for but I doubt you’ll see many republicans switch to vote D. Independents might so that’s a wildcard. If R turnout is high in key races they should at minimum hold the Senate

Not sure exactly how much it matters, but I believe lines in Travis are open til 7, so probably best to wait til the end of the day here. Polling places were still packed in Travis.

Eta: regardless, I appreciate both Dems and Reps taking about how it’s over based on early polling data

Yes it is a positive for republicans as well in Montgomery county.

Glad to see turnout for red and blue counties alike.

Right

Day one turnout is about as useful as first quarter scoring

A breakdown by voter party would tell us a lot. Hopefully we get those numbers today.

Not that much. You don't have any way of knowing whether the numbers reflect enthusiasm or simply cannibalizing the Election Day vote.

Apparently today was the highest day 1 early voting turnout for a midterm election in Harris County history.

Surpassing 2018.
