He literally invited the women and they said ‘they were too busy’, aka politely turned him down for bullshite reasons.

Explain to me the both sides guilty part ? I understand the lesbians just to proud to share their victory with the leader of the country for a once in a lifetime honor but I fail to see the guilt part of Trump. Help us out with your understanding?

The joke was on the deranged Democrats in Congress. He slighted the women's team only because (paraphrased) "I have to invite the women too because I'll get impeached if I don't".

They probably had a headache.
I think the media is making a non issue, an issue. It is not like they had weeks in advanced. They were on the other side of the world with a couple days notice and like women, they got things lined up.
Had it been reversed, (Trump asking the women and joking about the men) there would be no issue.

The press has badgered everyone involved to support their complete meltdown, go after Trump and alienate the men’s team. Nobody is really taking the bait, and they spiraled further.
Now you’ll see them start to pivot. They lost, which revealed their lack of power to punish wrongthink, and now they’ll need to pretend it was no big deal and they never really had a coordinated campaign to diminish the men’s gold.
Of course, reasonable people know otherwise, but like most things they’ll back each other up and poof - in eyes of MSM - it never happened.

I think it was two fold. First part was meant as a jokingly kid like boys vs girls moment.
Tim McGraw had a hit about this topic “don’t take the girl”
Additionally he got to hit dems by saying they would blow something far out of proportion which they then did.
I don’t think the timing was great because it should be a time where we can celebrate everyone wearing the countries flag and I can see where someone on the women’s team might not laugh because why should they have to be joked about when they went out and won gold.
At the same time the fallout and focus has done far more to distract from their accomplishments than a silly joke did.
Which is exactly what they players are saying.

People just want to hate the US at the Olympics unless the athletes openly thing their nose at trump which no one should have to put down their country while fricking snowboarding.
