Gas prices under Biden were higher because of his direct EO's towards US production of oil. Seeking more oil imports and shutting down Keystone for Warren Buffett.

Gas prices under Trump have been artificial by the market due to Iran. Speculators are operating under the conflict, but oil in the Strait of Hormuz has no direct impact to our supply here in America.

So you are paying more under Trump because of market traders, not his policy, unlike Biden.

Be specific. What did he actually do to curtail investment?

How about these two off the top of my head.

The Biden administration drastically reduced the number of oil and gas leases during his tenure.

Killed the Keystone pipeline.

Biden did hit very high levels of domestic production at points in his presidency.

The problem with Biden's increase was done by overregulation in order to curb the growth of oil and gas to appease his ev donors.

Oddly enough, we actually imported a good bit more oil under Trump 1.0 than we did under Biden.

Trump 2.0 remains yet to be seen. Domestic production continues to grow. Increased imports from Venezuela doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing. Probably also worth noting exports vs. imports. Our net export numbers of total petroleum product hit new highs under Biden, and appear to continue growing.

The Keystone pipeline was never killed. It was completed in 2010 and brings in around 200 million barrels a year into Cushing, OK and always has.

Wow it’s rare to see filth want something specific. It typically lives in the gray area of unknowns and hypotheticals.

No he didn't

Yes, he did. He paused it and the courts forced him to resume. A later court decision in 2022 said he could pause permitting, so he stopped, again. He started up again, because gas prices were killing him in the polls. At that point, he said publicly that he was resuming permitting because of legal reasons, in order to keep his base happy.

As important as anything in this discussion, Joe Biden was quoted during his campaign and reiterated after he was elected:

"No more drilling on federal lands. Period. Period. Period. Period.".

A lot of what causes oil prices to go up and down is the certainty of supply. If you have the POTUS at war with the oil industry, prices WILL go up.

COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns

People are discussing this as if Covid was not a huge scam - the virus was real but the reaction and policy decisions were designed to destroy the US, the economy and cripple or remove small business.

That was all Biden and his administration, so this "recovering" from it argument as if it was just something that happened is total BS.

So he didn't cancel them all, then, which is what you said. He canceled LEASE SALES, and he paused any new applications from moving forward during his first 60 days. Then after his little "moratorium", permit and project applications resumed moving forward.

I watched permit applications and applications for new projects on Fed Lands in the Permian and Powder River Basin get approved during his administration. I stood on Fed Lands and watched infrastructure projects and drilling & completion operations take place.

Correct, which is why people were morons for pulling the lever for him. However, drilling on Federal Lands continued during his administration. Rigs continued to be slotted for Fed wells. Whether or not it's what Biden wanted, the oil & gas industry won out over whatever leftist politics occured, and we kept our permits and operations moving forward.

Again, I'm not defending anything the Biden Administration did, but it's obvious when people just spit out a talking point on here without having a clue as to what took place.
