The people of Afghanistan were right to embrace the 1990 version of US Culture. They are right to reject the 2021 version of US Culture.
To ignore what I say as one factor explaining how this happened is to ignore the facts.

Any update on when Biden or anyone from his administration is going to address the nation regarding this crisis. American lives are in danger, and the executive branch is asleep at the wheel, should be grounds for impeachment.

I asked him this morning his thoughts on this situation. his exact quotes were "This is the worse time of year to carry out this kind of mission (these Taliban fighters are similar to wasps, they thrive in the summer. my local ABC affiliate in Houston didn’t cover it until 35 minutes into the broadcast. We got 3 weather updates, endless COVID coverage, mask mandates debate talk, and 15 minutes of the crisis in Haiti before spending a 3 minute segment on what is taking place in Afghanistan.
Good to know the media is doing their part in covering this colossal frick up.

You're getting downvoted and I'm sure I'll get downvoted too but you are absolutely correct. I'm no democrat and I would put more blame on Bush than Biden. He was the president that got us involved in Afghanistan in the first place and his idea of installing a democratic government in Afghanistan was a pipe dream from the beginning. It was never going to happen. The Afghani people are way too primitive and their lives evolve way too much around the Islamic religion for that form of government to succeed. What's happening now with the Taliban taking back control of the country was inevitable whenever the U.S. left Afghanistan, no matter if we had a democrat or republican president. That's what most Afghanis want.

I don't understand this talking point. Nobody is blaming Biden for Afghanistan falling, we are blaming him because this is the worst US Evac since Katrina, and worst on the big stage since Vietnam. The most powerful country in the world can't even get 10k of it's people out (who frankly shouldn't even have been there), and there are no troops to protect the withdrawal. On what planet does that make sense? This isn't 20 last minute employees rigging things up to blow, it was thousands.
