It’s odd they defend a guy who spent 100 mil in a primary after blaming the jews for spending 30 mil in the Kentucky primary.

If Paxton didn't have a million skeletons in his closet and ran a decent campaign the party would be united. That's on him.

Texas is challenging to comprehend because it’s just so big.
You’ve got several major metro areas, but then you’ve got just huge swaths of people living in small towns everywhere.
And there are people living eight hours away from you, you don’t really know what they’re thinking unless you drive all across the state.
Edit - normally, in the small towns the people will vote for anyone who has a (R) next to their name. But this is a different case… not normal conditions.

So you’re saying the midterms are lost because of one candidate in one race?

This should be an easy election for Republicans in Texas but they are playing this really soft from a campaign perspective. They should have gone into this campaign season as if they are losing, but they are campaigning as incumbents who relying on their previous work.
If it were my campaign, I would tie these democrat candidates to all the policies and chaos that all democrat candidates in California, Washington, Oregon, New York, etc. Hit them hard on the activist activities in those states, the ridiculous laws and policies that those citizens are having to live in because the activists control those governments through the democrat elected politicians. Show the street tents of the free loaders, the mental crazies that the democrats use as their street army. Show the voters that the supporters of the Democrat candidates are not people like you, they are part of a sub population that is preying on our constitution, freedoms, rights, and values.

No. We're just going to skip putting the check next to Paxtons name. Because frick Ken Paxton.
This is where the idiom "cutting off your nose to spite your face" comes from.

Can I ask a question? Why is Paxton so disliked? What is this baggage?
plenty legit swamp behavior that at the mimium he is accused of, if not outright guilty of. Texas GOP has blurred the lines between business friendly and cornyism for awhile, Paxton is a step in the wrong direction. Dan Patrick indirectly made this election harder for him by banning weed for the booze lobby.
The real problem with Paxton that people here often ignore is that he is as low energy of a canidate that i have ever seen. He talks like he tossed half a xanax into a beer before he hits the stage.
His entire campaign is just idenity politics. Idenity politics only gets you so far when you are the party in charge.

This is another example of what the same exact group of [you] waterheads did in the cases of Herschel Walker and Doc Oz. In fact I think it was during those two campaigns that the infamous “Look, I voted for Trump three times…but” came about. Anyhow, the same group is once again, for some irrational and illogical reason(s), shite talking these candidates into oblivion into the lead up to their respective elections. Regardless whether they are able to understand this, their early and often and miserably loud inner-party shite talking will continue to have real, measurable effects on an election outcome. Definitely not in a good way - unless you’re one of these people, of course.

Because the primary race is a different campaign than a general election Cornyn out MAGA'd Hunt during the primary because he needed those votes that weren't going to paxton but that hunt was taken away from him
A football team may choose to focus on the running game versus one team and a passing game versus another team it's not that complicated unless you're really dumb

One race? No. But when there is a clear pattern of horrible candidates being installed by the MAGA RINO's - Vivek, Paxton, etc. in swing races, that could be problematic.

Paxton beat Cornyn by 28 points. You’re talking in circles.

Lot of words to justify voting for the gay fake preacher, who are you trying to convince? Lol utterly pathetic

Cornyn was helpful to the left and not good for America. And he knew it.
