It really says how much of a scumbag Paxton is that normal folks would rather stay home than support him.

Can I ask a question? Why is Paxton so disliked? What is this baggage?

He’s rich and cheated on his wife allegedly. The Bush family and their cronies have been at him for years since he beat one of them in an election. They tried to get him impeached but it was of course all bullshite.
Paxton isn’t the best human being, but I’m not voting for that. He gets things done and is not a homo like Talfreako.

The problem is a Cornyn win is functionally a loss.

For the interest of Texans, having a Senator who is well respected and has seniority and clout within the party, that is not functionally a loss, imo.

But if we are starting fresh… then it’s wide open.

Paxton v Talarico is about who is going to motivate and get voter turnout.

I've seen this pattern A LOT on here, and I do NOT understand it. (not directed at you personally, loogaroo)

voters: "We're going to drain the swamp, and get rid of the establishment"
~candidate wins!~
also voters: "Why isn't the swamp and establishment helping our candidate?"

Why would you EVER vote for anyone but the incumbent? And we wonder why Congress is often a life-long job. You must love Mitch McConnell.

I see your point about lifelong jobs.

But Cornyn isn’t someone with a lot of corruption. He’s just establishment. Some GOP agree with him and are ok with that stance. Some GOP are MAGA have a problem with it.

Not on board with replacing him with more corruption.

The primary was an open Primary - theoretically Democrats could have voted for Paxton to win the nominations.

Paxton may lose, we will see

but the funny thing to me is the over reaction we are seeing as a result of a combined marketing effort of Bushies and Texas Dems to defeat Paxton

not sure who hate him more

BUT ask yourself two important questions here

1. are there really as many actual voting Democrats in Texas as the MSM would have you believe?

2. do you really believe Republicans/independents in Texas will vote in a state wide election for a DEM wildcard like Talarico out of spite for state issues like the Bushie Legacy, School vouchers and THC bans?

paxton’ s sham impeachment is a non-factor to me, they are hitting andy hoffman issue hard because the impeachment commercials did not work.

I think my real fear about paxton is he is a terrible public speaker and he is going to fall flat on his face in the debate.

Paxton won’t debate. He’s just going to hide.

I think many independents are either going to vote for Talarico or stay home.

And many GOP voters may just skip voting for someone they despise.

Conservatives will stay home and not vote for trash.

Progressives will gleefully vote for trash.

Sounds about right.

This lie again. Never change.

Even your fellow window licking seal butt buddy won’t support you in that lie.

Oh and your obsession continues.

(I didn’t take it personal) I was pointing out to the Cornyn homers their hypocrisy.

Paxton might be a dirtbag, but at least he is America first. He offered to drop out to help the Save Act.

Cornyn is so much more of a dirtbag, the fricker is actively helping the opposition.

So who is the bigger POS?

he may find himself in a Catch-22 very soon.

If he doesn’t debate, his position may continue to erode

but if he does debate, he is so uncharismatic and bad on television that it may spell the end of his campaign.

this is what some (owlfan) on here are banking on, maybe so. how many actual Independents are there in Texas? are we counting indifferent voters as independents too? I can see that

the real fear and if that happens, Talarico is a one term Senator but he can do some damage in that one term

Paxton was a terrible choice to primary Cornyn

I find it hilarious how much talarico is advertising on Fox News in Texas
