The fact that Talerico has a pretty good chance to win should tell you all you need to know about the political trajectory of Texas. The governorship, or one of the Senate seats will be won by a Democrat during the next two elections for each office. If it’s ever a governor Texas will be lost forever because they will open the Southern border because if Texas has a Democrat governor then the US likely would have a Democrat President. Meaning no one would stop the governor, likely would be getting help from the federal government.

Texas THC laws shifted dramatically following a May Texas Supreme Court ruling that allowed the state to enforce a ban on most intoxicating hemp derivatives. As of July 31, 2026, the Texas Department of State Health Services reclassified compounds like Delta-8, Delta-10, and THCP as Schedule I controlled substances, making possession of them potentially punishable as a state jail felony with fines up to $10,000.Banned THC ProductsDelta-8 and Delta-10 THC: Psychoactive isomers derived from hemp are now prohibited.Alternative Cannabinoids: Compounds like THCP and various synthetic variants are restricted.Smokable Hemp & THCA Flower: Regulations measuring total potential THC (including THCA) have effectively outlawed raw smokable hemp flower and pre-rolls.

Paxton needs to take back his support for America First if he wants to get the full support of the GOP arm of the uniparty.

Where did he say he is going to "ban THC"?

Maybe he doesn't know about it because he does not consider it important.

What is all this incomplete shite that is always being posted?

Yeah, the THC thing was dumb, and so obviously done at the behest of the alcohol lobby.

If a literal gay communist can beat Paxton, we done fricked up.

Do I have to name every single one to make you feel better? “What about ____?”

Yes, throw him and Tony Gonzalez in that group. KP George (the disgraced former Ft Bend Co Judge) as well since he recently switched to Republican. Though I’m not sure if any actual Texas conservatives/Republicans have actually welcomed him.

Ken Paxton opposes the Islamo-Marxist / Transgender Chicks with ****s in our granddaughters restrooms / Somali - Romanian Mafia thieves / Illegal Alien hardened criminals raping and murdering our daughters / mafia democrat tax and spend set up payment portals to pump money to Ukraine so that it gets diverted to assorted Globalist schemes / Coalition. And Ken Paxton opposes that and that's enough for me. Did I leave anyone out?

Remember, if the mafia democrats ever get back in power be ready for another round of stiff confiscatory tax increases. Mafia democrats NEVER knew a tax they didn't support. (hint: they have their eyes on those 401k's and IRA's)

Trump / Paxton 2026 - They're on our side - the bloodsucking mafia democrats are for the crooks.

Owl, do you really think Talarico could beat Paxton in a fair race? I’m not saying he won’t win, but I am saying there’s no chance Talarico would win without cheating by the Dems.

Listen I'm not the biggest Paxton fan but if you doomsayers are so right about him being so bad, then explain how he won 3 statewide AG races. And don't give me the Dem candidate was just so bad excuses. He might lose, but I think some of you are doing a lot of projecting.

What’s funny and really telling about the tribalism now… Paxton has continued the corruption and pay for play during the campaign and shows no signs of stopping.

He knows his base is locked, lives mostly in an alt reality, and will vote for satan himself if he has a R by his name

yes

and you forgot Independents,, they vote too
call it 9% of the general election vote

Usually they lean very heavily Republican Let's say 75% of independents vote Republican in the general election over the past ten years in Texas I'm not looking at numbers just going by my senses

This time around, in everything I've looked at not just polls but internal tracking numbers ,,, spending is a great way of predicting campaign spending,,

I'm sure Trump is about to dump a lot of money in Texas right there should tell you there's a problem, because why should Trump spend money in Texas?
he didn't spend money in Texas for his own election; he didn't need to

The Democrats are getting almost all of the independent vote this time

It might be immigration enforcement it might be the price of gasoline it might be the war in Iraq its might be Patricks thc ban

whatever the reason ,, its adding up

Texas Republicans whether it be Abbott or Patrick or Paxton, they're all running on the same thing that got them elected before.. previous elections..primaries

Meanwhile the Democrats have kept closing the gap refining their message and the Republicans just keep relying upon the same old same old Sooner or later that catches up to you That's what I've been warning it's catching up this year

Not one word of that indicates I want Democrats to win i'm just noticing that they're making the adjustments, and Republicans just keep relying upon the same 60 year old voter to win the election

problem is, a lot of those folks are dead
