To a bunch of people who had no part (or who were otherwise able to exert influence) in any of what went down here.

I agree there’s reason for concern, but let’s be honest.

Wearing boots and a cowboy hat while praising Jesus and the troops is pretty much all that’s necessary to win as a Republican in Texas.

That may change at some point, but it won’t be this election.

any debates

I understand there are three debates scheduled in October. Wouldn't be surprised if Paxton is trying to weasel his way out of them.

Just checking in to see if talarico supporters were ever able to articulate what they like about his platform. Got through 3 pages and got tired of scrolling so jumped to pg 6.

Bummer.

I was gonna offer to treat you to a game if Talarico won. Willing to do something else.

My folks used to go to Houston for the LSU-Rice football games whenever they would play there. I miss having the opportunity to do so.

That's a bit of a reach don't you think? He's gaining with independents but most remain undecided from what I've seen.

Overall, based on most recent poling, the race is predicted to be close. That said, polling results are less accurate now more than ever.

It's hard for me to believe Texans will vote in favor of a candidate who has stated God is nonbinary and prochoice, who wants to reduce meat consumption (quoted during his 2022 campaign " Our campaign has officially become a non -meat campaign"); and who is a climate change activist, a position adverse to the oil industry.

He's Beto 2.0, a charismatic flake.
