Listen I'm not the biggest Paxton fan but if you doomsayers are so right about him being so bad, then explain how he won 3 statewide AG races. And don't give me the Dem candidate was just so bad excuses. He might lose, but I have a think some of you are doing a lot of projecting.
AG isn't really paid attention too and people just vote team down ballet. Did well in 22 when Abbott beat Beto, did poorly in 2018 with Beto vs Cruz. The AG results pretty much mirror the governor/senate races those years.
Then he was impeached and divorced after his last statewide election so more baggage

Guess we’ll see how the Biden, India, California invasions have affected our state.
Hopefully there’s enough of us real Texans left to send that closet homosexual back to oblivion.
Nothing but another theater kid playing a part.

and now they're not winning national championships
Just because Paxton was winning before does not mean the situation has not changed and Republicans have not accounted for the change
how is that not risky enough?

Yep. Paxton had a tight race in 2018 with better conditions.

Paxton is a clown candidate. But at least he’s MAGA pure, whatever that means these days.
Mike Collins here in Georgia is getting abused as well. But hey at least he passed the Trump ‘loyalty’ test.

You are the resident insider.
But I was right about the Democrats walking out of the state and how all that would end I kept telling everyone it was just theater, and it ended exactly as I said it would,,, even after all the name-calling...it went EXACTLY as I said it would
in 24 I posted the thread RELAX in August or September that Trump had the election sewn up. No one was calling me a liberal then

Thanks, that’s a pretty compelling explanation. I stand corrected, you may be right. I just don’t get why Republicans run people like Paxton. It’s almost like they want to lose

Though I’m not sure if any actual Texas conservatives/Republicans have actually welcomed him.
and Terry Yates
but their ilk gave us paxton

It would be amazing if Twxas voted for Talefreako

Owl, do you really think Talarico could beat Paxton in a fair race? I’m not saying he won’t win, but I am saying there’s no chance Talarico would win without cheating by the Dems.
MAGA needs to start putting some pelts on the wall or shut up about how every election that doesn’t go their way is cheatin. It’s pretty sad to watch at this point

Well I’m one of the folks that has soured on this crop of TX Republican leaders like Paxton and Patrick. They behave as if they take the votes for granted and only focus on their mega donors, because they almost never lose statewide elections.
Now Gov. Abbott is hitting the campaign ads very hard lately. Is the Gov. race tightening, or no?

yep
Abbott is sweating
At this point his entire campaign strategy has been blanketing the state with paid volunteers to get people to sign up for this thing called the Abbott app which the campaign is claiming they're going to use this to track whether people have voted and then send them text messages and phone calls to make sure they go vote so it's a turnout effort
However, his consultant and the campaign are actually doing it to get all the data they can for the 2028 presidential primary because Texas is going to be the biggest piece of the pie and a lot of money is going to be spent
And up to date data is worth its weight in gold
And because Republicans have dominated this state for so long there has been really no need for Republicans to have updated data ,, now theres a need
starting the day after paxton and at least 2 other statewide Rs lose this NOV
And Republicans have held all the statewide seats as long as any of you can remember

i wonder how much of this is because of Paxton sheer lack of charisma. If anyone should be hitting the trail it is Paxton
He veto'ed the orginal THC ban for a reason and it is not because he is a pothead. I think is savvy enough to know Patrick is a dipshit pushing an unpopular policy.
He is lucky that the democrats really didn't have anyone to run for governor with a bigger profile

No, but perhaps before going after Paxton who has actually has gone toe to toe against Democrats and Rinos over prosecuting election fraud (which they made illegal for him to do in Texas BTW) just so hapoens to be the same reason the Rino cucks tried to impeach him 2 years ago in the first place in order to coverup their corruption and complicity and the leader of that group was none other than drunk arse Dade Phelan who never met a Democrat he didn't like to appoint to Chair positions in the Texas legislature.

dont smoke, never have, not even once
Also don't drink
And again as always, none of what I'm posting has to do with what I want to happen
It's what I fear is going to happen
But the poliTards are addicted to confirmation bias
and want to blame critical thinkers for pointing out the obvious
