Cap it at NINE JUSTICES! SCOTUS is NOT supposed to be another arm of the legislature.
If Democrats pack it, our country is FINISHED.
JOHNSON: "One of [Democrats'] objectives, among all the crazy things, is they want to pack the U.S. Supreme Court."
"We're going to make sure that doesn't happen. So we're going to put that bill on the floor tomorrow on suspension because it requires a 2/3 vote of both chambers of Congress to amend the Constitution."
"And we will have them put their money where their mouth is."

This is a good start. Next do term limits.

What would the age limits be?

Don't think it'll pass.
It would have 15-20 years ago.
Mutually assured destruction doesn't work anymore. They don't care that we will just add more justices when we gain power back. They are going to jam through whatever they can when they can and deal with the consequences down the road.

I guess it gets then on record as voting against but has 0% chance of passing

It's election season. It would require 38 out of 50 states to ratify the change...what are the chances of it passing?

For frick's sake.
How about, oh... I don't know, adjourning the House.

Has zero chance of passing. This is just more distraction for not passing SAVE.

Cap it at 999 and get to work packing it, Johnson

Congress can’t even get a fricking budget passed.

Trump should threaten to pack the court. That'll make it pass.

It's already written in the constitution.
To pack it, they would need the same amount of votes to override the current amendment as they would to override this new amendment???

Masshole will vote against this
Posted on 9/1/26 at 6:39 pm to Ailsa
the country is far too polarized to get ANY constitutional amendment fully ratified
besides....
Everyone knows exactly why the dems want to pack SCOTUS and we already have two amendments in the BoR to fight back against a tyrannical government

Nice gesture, but it will never happen. 3/4 of the house and senate must approve as well as 3/4 of the states legislature. Country is far too polarized to get this done.

on suspension
They could have suspended the rules to pass the save America act.
They must know that this won't pass, even under suspension.

No thanks, term limits is why I couldn't vote for DeSantis again this election.
Hopefully Donalds does a good job.
