That goes for the Trump vaccines. Wait till the Biden vaccines come out and things will get back to normal. Maybe two more weeks or so

I did take it. The CEO “strongly encouraged” me and my parents are high risk so I took it so I didn’t have to worry about getting them sick.
No issues thus far. My parents have since been vaccinated as well.

I think you are fricking stupid for wanting to take a vaccine with no way to know long term issues from it, or long term effectiveness.
Also, if you are under 70 without major comorbidities, you are as likely to die from the flu. This virus preys on those with frail immune systems who are sedentary. It has pretty well run it's course through the most vulnerable at this point and we are reaching herd immunity.
Plus, the more days that pass since a large number of people have been vaccinated, the more we start to hear of side-effect issues.
My reasoning is just as sound as yours as far as I am concerned.

OP list is just dumb. The vaccines keep us from getting the virus in most cases (78% to 95% effective) and 100% keep us from getting a very bad case (hospitalized on ventilator) of Covid 19. The more of us get vaccinated, the quicker we can resume a completely normal life.

That is my reason for getting it. I doubt I would be at a risk for death but having a severe case and doing permanent damage to my lungs was a big concern. I think there are valid concerns for getting it and not getting it. Do what you are most comfortable with.
I do wonder if the vaccine perception on this board would be different had the election not been stolen and Trump were in office and telling people to get it.

Do you think it's random which cases become bad/requiring hospitalization?
Outside of being very unwell with a disease or longstanding condition that you'd obviously know about, I can take one look at you tell whether or not you've got to worry about COVID.
