That's interesting because the President didn't actually commit a crime and I've heard it parroted by impeachment supporters that impeachment is a political process not criminal. Since Democrats have decided they can impeach a president because they have a policy disagreement and they still can't get over that Hillary lost why can't the Senate vote against removal because of politics too?

Translation: Only when you agree to just call our "heard it from a friend who" witnesses, deny Trump any defense witnesses and take hearsay evidence as actual evidence.

We should be sure to continue hammering at Pelosi et al. She will hold it or at least try to hold well into the Spring. She wants to see how the 2020 elections are shaping up. They will try to gin up the unfairness of Cocaine Mitch angle.
Here is the angle that we should look for....Dem's hold through the Spring, If Senate election polls look bad for them in April/May look for Nancy to transmit then. If polls look good and Trump wins. I suspect Nancy holds this until Jan 2021 especially if(big if) Dems win the Senate.....try for biggest frickjob in history

The current articles of impeachment would expire under the new Congress and they would have to pass a new set of articles all over again.

You want to blame someone, blame Mitch for trumpeting his stance last week before anything was voted on.
Do you have a complete lack of self awareness or are you just a naturally dishonest person?

Hold it until Ginsberg meets her maker. Can’t let a president under impeachment appoint the next justice

We need to start calling the House and demanding the Sargeant at Arms arrest her for dereliction of her constitutional duties.

You mean, given the fact there is no evidence whatsoever supporting the charges, and a litany of evidence to the contrary, McConnell is to blame?

I understand what the poster is saying. You have to be crafty with Schumer and Pelosi. But to do so means to remain quiet. Then we would accuse Mitch of being too quiet and passive.

Or McConnell could just ask Pelosi on national television whether she was the neutral arbiter of the impeachment process in the House, as she was supposed to be.....or did she actually end up being the "expert vote counter" who's boasted upon for being the expert whip that makes sure the Democrat votes are properly and sufficiently lined up to successfully impeach Trump. Oh, and he should point out her many statements about Trump needing to be impeached prior to all the evidence and testimony being heard.
'Cause all that doesn't much sound like a neutral referee to me. Hypocrisy at its finest.

If Dems gain both, would it be out of the question for a continuing resolution of sorts to extend into the new Congress....I know that it should expire, but if she gets power and Chuckie gets power what is to prevent them from ramroding this between Jan 3 and inauguration?

......in the meantime Pelosi and her gestapo moves to adopt a huge Omnibus Bill that funds all the democrat pet projects.
Omibus Bill: An omnibus bill is a single document that is accepted in a single vote by a legislature but packages together several measures into one or combines diverse subjects. Because of their large size and scope, omnibus bills limit opportunities for debate and scrutiny. Historically, omnibus bills have sometimes been used to pass controversial amendments.
Veto the bill Mr. President. They want to play nasty. Let it begin now.

Sounds like Quid Pro Quo to me. I’ll give you the articles if you can guarantee a fair trial.
Wait, isn’t that similar to what they’re trying to impeach Trump for?
And the Democrats calling for any fair hearing is just laughable.

1) the irony when the dims in the house said they would impeach Trump starting almost as soon as he was elected.
2) the irony when the cluster that happened in the house was anything but “fair”.
3) Nancy, not any other house member has ZERO say in how the senate conducts business.

I’ve talked to 3 democrats and an independent and all feel like the impeachment is a huge mistake. Censure is the appropriate course here.
I think the democrats really misread the room here

I find it interesting that Senate Democrats want MORE witnesses in a Senate trial. I thought the House Democrats presented an overwhelming case? If they want more witnesses, that proves that this Impeachment did NOT have enough evidence. What a sham!!!!
