I have heard a few talking heads express sympathy for Baldwin and his family. No comments on the dead and wounded. Total bull shite.

"So, will he be charged?"

Probably not, but he most certainly should be.

It's very similar to the Daunte Wright killing in Minnesota, where officer Kim Potter mistook her gun for a taser and accidentally shot Wright while yelling "taser taser".

However I think this murder is actually more egregious. Baldwin pointed a weapon at a person and knowingly pulled the trigger while knowing of the dangers.

How the frick does this happen? Blanks killing people?

If you shoot a blank at close proximity without a BFA on the weapon you can kill someone.

Blanks can kill people simply through the physics of gas causing something to displace.

Jon Erik Hexum killed himself fricking around with a gun that had blanks in it, sending a plug of skull through his brain.

Brandon Lee was killed when an improperly cleared gun had a blank put in it and dislodged some debris that shot him when the blank went off.

The former was Hexum ignoring instructions about safe handling of prop guns.

The latter was negligence by the prop master and part of a pattern of issues on the shooting of The Crow where the crew was drugged out of their minds and a number of other incidents happened to where the shoot was considered cursed before Lee died.

Just some advice... the above statement is in really poor taste. If you delete it, I'll delete this quote of it.

Secondly, I know a two stuntmen well, who are often on-set nationwide, who absolutely are right-thinking Americans, and cringe having to work with deranged Leftists.

Why wouldn't there be an over abundance of caution and have the camera angles situated during the shooting scenes in a manner that the actors don't actually have to aim the gun at the other actor? Just saying.

They should've done a re-write to have the movie script match their politics.

The sad truth is they weren't filming a scene. These weren't actors that were shot. It was the director of photography and the director himself, who don't play roles in the movie. That means Baldwin was horsing around with a gun. Less "accidenty" and more "manslaughtery" in my opinion.

Mostly right - the "debris" was an actual bullet from when someone apparently pulled the trigger on the real gun they were using as a prop, the hammer fell on a powderless but sill primed cartridge which caused the .44 magnum bullet to become lodged in the barrel. Later, the (as you say "uncleared") "prop"(i.e. real) gun was loaded with fairly hot blanks, handed to an actor who proceeded to kill Brandon Lee with it.

None of at least 4 or 5 simple safety protocols were followed that could have prevented the tragedy.

It’s posts like this, and the lack of downvotes and replies denouncing it, that are the worst part of this board.
