Trump should go to Congress and let them vote on it.

Hell no.

Congress is the least competent element of our government and shouldn’t be trusted to run a water balloon fight much less get to determine our foreign policy unless Trump decides to escalate to a ground war at which time they should get oversight.

I have been extremely impressed with the briefings by General Caine and Admiral Cooper.

There are multiple options that can be deployed at this point.

What % of the true believers do you think will have the maturity to recognize any gaslighting?

How are we going to make the government completely fall?

I’ve seen estimates that it would take 500,000 troops fighting to physically take Iran.

Is that worth it to you?

First off, we took Iraq with 1/3 of that. And Iraq had a comparably sized military to Iran's now.

Second, Iran is hurting. They don't have the support of the people behind them. The morale is in the dumps; they will fold like a lawn chair. I think we can get everything we want by continued bombing and cutting off their supply lines, no need to invade.

What we have now is a form of siege warfare, and that can be very effective.

No matter how long we stay, Iran will stay under the ideology it is under now.

So, the answer is quick strikes to keep their abilities low and options low.

This is a never-ending ordeal the US and West has to live with for a long time.

There are other factions in Iran, but do not have the power or willpower to take control of the country.

Regime change in Iran is something the people of Iran will have to deal with. The US cannot impose our will upon 90 million people and think everything will work out great. That's just not how it goes. We can try, but ultimately the solution has to come from within Iran.

I'm sure there are CIA operatives in Iran right now trying to cause a coup.

But bombing our way to peace is like eating ice-cream and candy to lose weight.

No matter what happens now, dems will not only ensure Iran is back in business, they'll use our tax dollars to pay for it.

FWIW, we're there and if Trump pulls out before whatever is left of the government falls I'll be disappointed. It will feel like the job wasn't finished.

Remember when we spent trillions of dollars and 20 years to replace the Taliban with the Taliban in Afghanistan?

It seems to me what many people can't grasp is the kind of change they want doesn't come from military. In fact, these wars have the exact opposite effect and just creates more enemies and gives these leaders more support among the population - despite what the propaganda says.

As much as Biden was disliked, not a single person would have backed a country like Russia coming in and bombing him and his family. Those types of events create unity, not division. The entire country, left and right, would have hated Russia and we would consider them our #1 enemy and the biggest threat to our sovereignty. And guess who's going to win the next election? The guy who wants to do the most about Russia. The ones that stand up to the big evil or Russia gets the most support. Does anyone remotely give a frick what Russia says? Nope.

Taking out the military of these countries is not a hard thing to do. If it was, we wouldn't attack them to begin with. However, you can not change the people that government represents. You'll at best end up with someone EVEN worse for the reasons I list above. And history has shown this to be true over and over.

None of this is to the benefit of the US citizens.

There is no way to quickly overthrow the government and replace it. There is also no way to get the uranium quickly. It would take weeks to dig it up. You would need forces on the ground to protect the area while they would be getting crushed by missiles and drones.

Get as much as you can in the negotiation, get out, declare the job done and Iran’s missiles and drone production facilities and stockpiles destroyed. Keep a close eye on everything and if they go for the uranium again bomb then again.

Except for the ones that they’re using to keep the Strait closed, which we were told wasn’t closed two weeks ago.

Trump said it himself over the weekend. He said we've already eliminated two regimes "except for maybe one guy", and we're negotiating with the third.

His address to the nation tonight is "much watch" TV.
