Probably because the killing had more to do with the daiquiri shop located next door that always has people loitering out front.
Why mention the restaurant if it hadn’t nothing to do with the associated shooting? Outside of people cracking comments about blacks with Chicken and Watermelon????

Literally anywhere else. It's situated on S Claiborne right next to Jazz Daquiris where the gangabangers and bums like to hang out and stay drunk all day. The Church's chicken up the street used to be the happening spot for people getting murdered in the parking lot. Not sure what happened

I don't care how delicious the food is, I ain't going to eat at any restaurant in any neighborhood anywhere that has metal bars on the windows or door. The picture tells me all I need to know, but I kinda already figured it out, as did most everyone else here, in my opinion.

You often see business names skipped in reports... it’s not totally out of the ordinary
That said, this is one of those spots with semi regular issues. Two of the Telly Hankton murders took place right in front too.
I wouldn’t mind picking up some wings but I’m nottrying to hang out and eat there as my regular spot.

Dude got killed out front, daq owner named as a witness, and in turn was killed.
I was in the jury pool for one, and someone was caught trying to sneak into the courthouses jury room during selection. I don’t mind serving but nooooope, not letting myself get picked for that one.

It was quite the take.
That said, I’m guessing this is likely a simple case of payback and the crowd was largely involved in the previous drama (at least by association). Doesn’t excuse it by any means but it’s not akin to rolling into rouses on a Tuesday afternoon and shooting. I’m guessing the jazz daiquiri parking lot crowd on a Saturday night probably has some common affiliation
