Good one with the evil doers line. A Bush line!
So why did the lawd let the demonrats have control of the house? Why don't the lawd have Adam Shiff die of a stroke?
You voted for Bush didn't you and you defended that idiot war with all your might and claimed that Bush was doing the lawd's work!

Well, God used a murderer (Paul) to spread His Word, so why not?

If you believe God is sovereign over the nations, then you have to believe that God ordained that Trump would be President, as Obama was. Not sure what is controversial about that.

The (philosophical) point of my inquiry per your "God made" point, is WHY would God make "one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor"? IMHO, there is only one JUST answer.
"You reap whereupon ANOTHER has sewn". Is that Scripture incongruent and contradictory to "we reap according to that which WE sew"? Or what did Jesus imply when He told the Disciples that John the Baptist..."WAS Elias who was for to come". Or, "for it is appointed for a man to live ONCE, and then the judgement"; I.e., one life as a particular person, and then moving to the next as a different individual. "new wine, in a new bottle".
I know this causes dissent, and is of little value re a Believers core Faith. But if one believes that they will indeed be rewarded ACCORDINGLY (per their efforts), then those who believe such will be motivated right up until their last breath...to put Spiritual 'money in their bank account'. The motivation from such a belief, is not a small thing...in both the way that it can affect an individual personally, and societally as well. Awakening in the morning believing that one can up their 'heavenly reward', is a good thing. And serving the Greater (Collective) Good/Universal Love...the ultimate kicker.
Throwing mud on the wall. Gotta work.

I have issues with ALL religion. I especially have issues with any religion that claims that god has literally spoken through a book!
Anybody with an IQ above 50 should see the potential problem with that. If they believe god said it then there must be a law.
Theocracy and authoritarianism is a natural extension of fundamentalism.

It's over your head. People with very narrow strict beliefs who think that god has spoken through a little book will have no regard for civil liberties and individual freedom. If they believe as they do that god told them that homosexuality is an abomination that means no freedom for gays duh. They want THEIR religious beliefs pushed in public schools. They do not want teachers telling kids about sex or birth control but they want those same teachers leading prayer and bible study. Let kids learn religion from their church and their parents.
You are an anti religious bigot.
Birds of a feather flock together. You need to look right, left, up, down, backwards, and forward! You’ve already associated yourself on this thread with Marxism! Is this really the company you want to keep?
You misunderstand or purposely misrepresent Christians. Yes there is much diversity, and if you want to find a snake handler you can. You have major divisions, Catholic, Orthodox, and a thousand Protestant denominations that range from almost Catholic/Orthodox like Anglicans to Christian in name only like Mormons and Jehovah Witnessed.
Most (the vast majority of) Christians have a high regard for civil liberties and individual freedoms.
Most Christians understand that PRACTICING homosexuals are an abomination just like PRACTICING heterosexual adulters are! All non-asexuals lust for sin in their hearts. All humans are sinners. Most Christians will readily quote Christ in the “little book” you deride as saying, “He who is without sin cast the first stone.”
Of course everyone wants their beliefs taught in public schools. That’s why schools are run from the local levels. But the vast majority of American Christians oppose religion in schools because that would open their children up to religious beliefs they hold in error.
There are exceptions to all Christians. Would you like to be associated with the snake handling atheist like Marx, Stalin, Kim, etc. No you wouldn’t, and it probably wouldn’t be fair to you either.
I will give you my greatest gift. May God open your eyes and heart to His mercy and love. I know that there is a high percentage chance that this will anger you, but I truly mean this as a blessing and not a curse or condemnation.

I'm somewhat religious but I don't believe God put Trump in office. I think he was put in office by the Republican parties inability or unwillingness to put forth a candidate that could deliver meaningful change. Couple that with 8 years of Obama that divided this nation like never before, and the result is Trump. So GOP, your going to continue to bring clowns to the party like McCain and Romney? Americans said, OK, fine then. We are bringing in a 9 pound hammer. Whether you like him or hate him, Trump has changed politics forever. His bull in a China shop approach has destroyed the Washington establishment. They can't even look at his face without losing their shite and doing and saying stupid shite. There was nothing in Washington worth saving to begin with, so at the very least, we start from scratch. At best, maybe the country is better for it.

Yep. Just like he put Obama in the Whitehouse. Then Bush before him. Clinton before him. Bush before him. And Raegan before him. It’s this little doctrine called Sovereignty that most Christians hold to.

But orthodox Christianity states that God is provadential over all things, so from that perspective, God did put Trump in the White House. But, as always, we as humans provided the means.

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Romans 13:1
God gave us eight years of Obama in order to give us a glimpse into what life could become in America. He then raised up Trump, basically a man who had not previously been known as a moral man, as an opportunity to give us a chance at redemption. Without repentance, it will all be turned over to the people backing Joe Biden, at which point it's game over.

You are dead on my brother. The atheist Marx is dead. Jesus is alive. Sports (idols) is gone. Now we have to sit and watch reality

Whether you like him or hate him,
Why do we have to be at one extreme, why can't we just chose him over crooked Hillary and Biden?

I will probably not be the one to convince you that the bible is the word of God. It is something that many people are skeptical about and questioning what certain verses mean actually help you to understand it better when you start digging in.
Although one of the things I have learned in some of my deeper studies is that it is not just about rules but it is actually refreshing to understand the gospel message and what has already been done for you on the cross.
I feel like studying the word requires your heart to be open to Him. It is very difficult to find meaning if you go in to His word with a closed and sealed heart. You may only find it to be a bunch of rules on the surface but it is much more than that.
I don't know of any other book where you can read about how some person's decision many years ago would affect their descendants for generations to come. One example of this is tracing down the stories of say, Jacob and Esau as they warred in the womb of Rebekah. Gen 25:22-26 reads:
22 But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the Lord.
23 And the Lord said to her:
“Two nations are in your womb,
Two peoples shall be separated from your body;
One people shall be stronger than the other,
And the older shall serve the younger.”
24 So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb. 25 And the first came out red. He was like a hairy garment all over; so they called his name Esau. 26 Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so his name was called Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.
And so you find out that each of their names gets changed Esau becomes Edom, Jacob fights and Angel and becomes Israel, two nations that began their strife at the very beginning, yet you see their nations at odds all throughout the bible and their descendants struggle today.
This is but one example of how the stories fit together in Gods plan and many more like it, as well as more current events that have already unfolded, provide evidence to us that His word is true.

I think God put every king, prince, ruler, and president in his position.
So, yeah

I love it when people clueless about the Bible try to make points like this.
Yes. There have only been bad leaders since the US has been around. The book of Judges is evidently all about Israelites getting traffic tickets thrown out, suits granted to Israelites in favor of being hit by a Philistine riding a donkey, and the book being thrown at everyone who isn’t a member of the Israelite tribes.
Kinda like now eh?
