I lived in Austin for four years before moving to Seattle where I have lived for the past four years. Austin is a liberal stronghold by Texas standards. When compared to Seattle, I'd say it's closer to moderate. You are allowed to have different opinions in Austin in my experience.

If you watch the WOKE Twitch channel there's a handful of "peaceful protestors" that gather at the APD auto garage most nights.
They've been peaceful since a day after George of the Floyd achieved Sainthood. APD lowered the boom on them pretty quickly and made it clear riots would be met with equal or greater force. Since then, bunch of white fruits and nuts shaking their fists and sky screaming is about it.
