That was private key encryption. What they, FBI, are dealing with is public/private key encryption, that is a totally different animal than Enigma and infinitely more sophisticated.

My kids are 20 and 24. They use SnapChat, TikTok and Insta. They do most their communications with friends through XBox while online and SnapChat with the phone.

Yep. I have a larger social media presence as we think of them, X, Facebook, than my 20 something kids. They do not use any of that stuff, its more gamer, PC games, discord, etc. They might find stuff if they look at his gaming habits.

It could mean just about anything the way they worded it. iMessage is encrypted.
