The 400 million was just the first plane load of cash. He ended up sending two more plane loads and over a billion in cash. 3 billion, I think it was.

"We can scale the fight"....

"But going forward, why in the world would we tell you, you, the enemy, anybody what we will or will not do in pursuit of an objective? We fight to win. We fight to achieve the objective the President of the United states has laid out and we will do so unapologetically."

I don’t give a frick about someone’s morality when they’re in charge of war. I care about their ability to win first and foremost, and we have been doing tons of winning.

How are you and I winning because of this war? We’re not. They don’t even have a fricking plan here.

True. Iran started in back in 79 when they thought they could hold Americans hostage.

I’m winning because the man in charge and directly responsible for killing people I served with in Iraq and Afghanistan has been dispatched to hell where he belongs and it’s long overdue.

Someone finally had the courage to do the right thing.

I’m sorry if you don’t consider this as winning but you strike me as a hardcore lefty, I don’t recognize your handle so idk for sure, and if that’s case you likely would only consider America further going down the road of cowardice and managed decline as winning

I'll reply with this when a youngun complains about his predicament being from the actions of Boomers. It's always burning and will be in the future.

Nah. Once those protests started and we realized the regime was on its heels there’s nothing they could’ve done. We decided to start this war over a month ago. Just took us a few weeks to get all of our bullets and shite over there.

Half correct.

It took a few weeks for the weather to be optimal

The proper way to view success or failure of this depends on what the new leadership of Iran ends up being.

I simply said that’s what he strikes me as. Then clarified I have no idea for sure because I don’t recognize his username.

There’s plenty of people here who disagree with me and others about certain things who are most definitely of the right or on the center. He may be one of them for all I know, his post don’t indicate it though.

Those people I, typically at least, have respect for because when they post they do so substantially and with meaning. Not stupid drive by insults and the most unfunny of jokes.

Go strawman someone else

Nah I think it was mostly to get air defense assets in place. Trump wanted to attack when the first protests were going on but the Israelis and Arab states wanted to wait until we go more patriots and what not in place.

The Secretary of War, needs to stop referring to it as a "war". First of all, Iran is not worthy of us declaring war against them. Secondly, Under Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution, Congress holds the exclusive power to declare war. The "War Powers Resolution of 1973" limits the President’s ability to commit armed forces without congressional consent, requiring notification within 48 hours and withdrawal within 60-90 days unless authorized.

Calling it "war" makes it look like we are both increasing the significance of Iran on the world stage and it also makes it look like the administration has violated the Constitution. We did nothing that we didn't have the right to do...but calling it "war" blurs the lines on the administration's authority to act.
