Many things have been bigger than Watergate that get minimized by the media, like Obama using to IRS to hamstring his opponents during an election or his government hacking the computers of journalists who were not slavishly enamored with his mediocre arse.

Yes, I do and always have. But I think the scandal is more that they didn't vet the information because they hated Trump (it's called confirmation bias). At some point they figured out it was all BS, but they were in too deep (with fake FISA warrants, etc.) that they had to cover it up.

I never bought that Hillary and Obama were sitting around one day and said "Oh, I got it. Let's accuse Trump of being a Russian" (and then Obama fist bumps Hillary).

No, this started legitimately, but it's a lot like racism where blacks get treated worse for the same offense. Trump, the glorious orange bastard, gets treated worse for shite the FBI would barely bat an eye at if it were anyone else. Compound the fact that Obama PERSONALLY hates Trump for the birther stuff, and it's even worse.

I think the real origin of this whole thing was Russian disinfo on our intelligence channels (placed there by the Ruskies on purpose). If you believe the Guardian out of the UK (who is no friend of Trump) the GCHQ started this whole mess by passing on intelligence (basically intercepted phone calls or texts) to the CIA. Since our NSA is highly secretive (moreso than CIA) they will never discuss what they have or how they got it. GCHQ is much the same in that regard. This is why the FBI is making up BS about PapaD and Page mouthing off in bars. It's a cover story for how it REALLY started (which is NSA and GCHQ spying on the world's communications). The GCHQ somehow picked up two Russians talking BS on the phone and believed it to be "real." It wasn't (the Ruskies are trolling us).

This is why Gowdy and crew wont say how it started - they know it's TS/SI/NOFORN/ORCON, so they just have to say "trust us." Problem is, we don't have a good reason to trust them because we know they've already been duped by the Ruskies. How do I know? Because if they had legitimate wire intercepts, they would have leaked them to the NYT (no matter how highly classified they were). This means they have a good reason to believe the wire intercepts are bogus disinfo, but now are in too deep to admit it. And it's not just because it would embarrass them inside the U.S., but they don't want the Ruskies to know how successful they were.

Wait and see, this is going to be right. As Rush would say, don't doubt me.
