Is that what they own personally or the form they work for?

Reminds me of Teldar Paper in Wall Street:

ETA: Scene in question noting management's lack of owning stock

This is so above my pay grade but how did these people get elected/appointed to the BOD, aside from Dorsey? This is a shell game.....

Gordon Gekko " All these men sitting up here own less than 3% of the stock. Greed is good

Wally Sparks beat me to it.

Probably, but it still doesn't take away from the fact that Elon owns something like 3x-4x more shares than the entire board combined. One board member owns "0.000%". How can someone, as a board member, have a legitimate duty to a company they don't even own stock in?

They can't, the person is not a stakeholder in any way.

I agree with you. It’s just not good form to be off so much on a fact when you (the guy that posted the tweet) are trying to make a good point.

Years ago I worked for a Dow 30 company. Whenever our sector president saw a new face at a conference table, before the meeting started he would introduce himself and ask the new guy/gal “do you own stock in the company?” If the answer was no, he’d pull out his billfold and take whatever the share price was that day and give it to the newbie - he did not want anyone working for him that didn’t have a stake in the company. That’s how it should be, and at the board level in a big way.

When it’s more important to have diversity on your board than equity.

Are any of them representatives of institutional investors? That would mean they represent ownership and likely have a financial incentive to perform well.

That said the whole thing from start to finish stinks.

77 is incorrect.

There are 763.58 million shares.

The board, without Jack Dorsey, owns 0.117%.

That is 893,387 total shares.

While owning zero shares would be bad for a board member, the truth of the math is there are

773,000,000 shares of TWTR outstanding

So if a board member merely owned .001 percent that would still be

Your math is off. That would be the equivalent of owning 0.1% of Twitter. More accurately, it would be 7,730 shares. 1/1000 of 1%. Or just over $400,000 of Twitter stock

Yeah unless Jack Dorsey owns like 1000 shares this is on the surface bad math.
