New Orleans is really not much better. In fact the two cities have a very similar feel IMO. Near the coast, lots of good food, cool history, smells bad, is very dirty, lots of homeless

These are people who choose to live life on drugs, high, unemployed, living on the streets, and the local gov't isn't taking care of them according to the official.

I have a friend who voted for Bernie Sanders. It know, it's a long story. She just got back from San Francisco and called it the most depressing place she'd ever been to. This was after spending three years in backwater China working for the Peace Corp. Everywhere she went there were people passed out in the street covered with vomit and human feces on the sidewalks. She met with their Convention & Visitors Bureau head who said he's stopped promoting the city until the government officials can start taking care of their people.

This is the direct result of Democrats fricking up everything the touch.
Send ALL illega....er...."Asylum Seekers" to North Beach now. Washington Square can hold 10 thousand alone.

30 years from now, when I talk about SF, my grandkids will feel like I do when older folks today talk about how Detroit was once a great American city.

Yeah I was just out there in March. It is sad what one of our greatest cities has become.

It has been about 10 years since I visited S.F. Has it really gotten that bad? I remember the Hait having a lot of street people but I expected that. The rest of the city was fine.

I can't think of any reason that I would ever visit California. San Fran or LA for sure.

Because they think they are doing mankind a service by supporting people to live as they want.
If they allowed nature to run its course there would be many fewer homeless people. If you feed a stray, you have a new pet and it will continue to be your pet until you stop feeding it.

And, to make matters worse, California just elected as governor the former mayor of San Francisco.

I spent 2 weeks in SF. It was the first time I had been there in 15 years and there was a noticeable difference in the city. Make no mistake, SF is what you get with leftist run governments. Extreme wealth and poverty with little to no middle class.

No wonder the city's leaders are satisfied with things. Sounds like it's all going according to plan.

Yes its bad. While walking back to where we were staying after breakfast we had to literally step over a guy who was tripping from whatever he just injected into his arm. I saw him with the needle in from a black away and by the time we got to him he was flopping around like a fish out of water.

This is my probably 10th visit to SF and I have never seen it this bad in "good" areas of the city.

You're dealing with people who don't act using common sense. When emotion drives your thinking, you get bum sanctuaries in your nice downtown area
