I have a friend who voted for Bernie Sanders. It know, it's a long story. She just got back from San Francisco and called it the most depressing place she'd ever been to. This was after spending three years in backwater China working for the Peace Corp. Everywhere she went there were people passed out in the street covered with vomit and human feces on the sidewalks. She met with their Convention & Visitors Bureau head who said he's stopped promoting the city until the government officials can start taking care of their people.

This is the direct result of Democrats fricking up everything the touch.

My old boss splits time between SC and CA. He was a liberal Dem when I worked for him. Spoke with him last month and said San Fran has turned him into a Trump supporting libertarian.

I've never been there and from the sound of it I don't think I ever will but can someone plead explain to me why the leaders of that city think that is ok?

My sibling lives in S.F. and in the nicest area - Noe Valley.

It's still gross.

Whenever I visit driving into the city is just an agitated gross feeling, like I don't want to be here...I have to get out of here. It's like driving into an alien world...of filth and grime and crazy people. A zoo. You worry people on the street will fling their poo on you. People literally do just shite in the streets...you think it's dogshite on the sidewalks but people in S.F. clean up after their dogs. That ain't dogshite.

I've been to India and Caracas, Venezuela and Mombasa, Kenya and I'd rather live in those places than S.F.

I don't understand how real estate value is holding up there.

I checked realtor.com earlier today, and a single-room place around Lafayette Park (listed as 0 BR and 1 bath), was $769,000.

My wife and I went in 2015. We used SF as a jumping off point and had an amazing time in the area (Monterrey, Carmel, Point Lobos, Muir Woods, Napa) We spent 2 days actually in San Fran. Didn’t see any poop, but we were accosted by a couple of homeless people. One guy started screaming at me when I told him politely that I didn’t have any cash on me. Thought for a sec i was going to have to fight him.

Guess I’ll just skip the city next time we go that way. The natural beauty is just too much to avoid totally.

There's a meme out there somewhere that has a photo of a dog and says "San Francisco, where dogs step in human poop."

Here's what I don't understand about Bernie voters.

They are in Bernie's corner as legit socialists, then when Bernie cucks out, they somehow (magically) become Dems again with a platform which is completely different than what they supported in the first place.

Go to SF several times a year for work. I am always amazed at how beautiful the city is and how absolutely disgusting it is at the same time. I was there in October and saw a hobo shitting in a planter about a block from the Moscone Center in the middle of the day.

Beautiful city that almost always smells like shite.

Wife grew up there & got out in 2009. We go back to visit her family about twice a year & it is amazing how much it has changed in 10 years.

The sheer amount of homeless people will shock you. The tech boom has made it the most pure case of have’s & have not’s in the U.S.

The people there are such looney liberal zombies in that they complain non stop about the homeless, housing, & crime issues but it doesn’t even cross their mind that the far leftist liberal policies for the people they vote in have caused these issues.

Taking care of the people is actually the root of the problem, there are so many social programs and people giving handouts to the homeless they flock to SF from other areas. They are making the same mistake in Seattle, as the homeless population increase they are creating more programs to feed, and provide care for the homeless leading to even more homeless people moving there.

Because they think they are doing mankind a service by letting people live as they want.

It's not going to get better anytime soon because they won't even acknowledge the cause of the problem. I read an article about this in one of their local publications awhile back and guess who they blame for it? Yep, wealthy white people.

According to them the people crapping in the streets are totally blameless. Somehow through some rather impressive mental gymnastics and contortions of logic they have it all pinned on white privilege. They are utterly hopeless

How is that even legal? Don't they have decency laws? At the very minimum, wouldn't it be indecent exposure?
