Sometimes a company has to be destroyed to teach others what NOT to do.

I Guarantee the pusher of that idea was democrat.

This evidently came out of their London World Headquarters…but came from a perspective of the US and said so in the literature itself…and yet their stateside leadership is the one addressing the issue while saying it came out of London.
Why aren’t the London folks disavowing or explaining it for themselves? Why did London issue a directive or study guide from a US perspective? Why is the Stateside guy addressing issues created by someone somewhere else?
Their leadership has no idea that they should take a look at their equity, diversity and inclusion positions and perhaps add a consultant to handle crisis management.
…and the lesson of mistake making is always accountability. Every single time. Own your mistakes as authentically and personally as your successes. That builds trust and repairs harm. To your relationships. Or your brand.
But owning mistakes requires acknowledging them in the first place. Which they aren’t doing. To own a mistake requires admitting the mistake was made.
These people have no clue what they’re doing,

So, let the Salv Army apologize. Somebody make sure to tell them that apologies mean NOTHING.
What I heard sounded like excuses.
It was an internal memo.
It was a voluntary memo.
The memo was misunderstood.
We were accused of things we didn't say.
They(right wingers) are trying to make us conform to their ideologies......We won't.
Go woke, go broke.
Everything woke turns to shite.

I stopped going when one of the big whigs said that white people need to wash the feet of black people. Also one of the board members donated to BLM.

Well, one thing is for sure...if the SA or any charitable organization wants the low down re their PR, they can get a pretty honest view from the TD Poliboard.
There is no doubt that the people who make up this Board are charitable, and the kind of folk that organizations like SA need to survive. I suspect they have got the message, though it will be a hard pill to swallow. Especially with pressure from the Left.
Overall, this will be a shot across the bow for charitable entities that consider going Woke.

The Salvation Army occasionally publishes internal study guides on various complex topics to help foster positive conversations and grace-filled reflection among Salvationists. By openly discussing these issues, we always hope to encourage the development of a more thoughtful organization that is better positioned to support those in need. But no one is being told how to think. Period. In this case, the guide “Let’s Talk About Racism,” was issued as a voluntary resource, but it has since become a focus of controversy. We have done our best to provide accurate information, but unfortunately, some have chosen to ignore those efforts. At the same time, International Headquarters realized that certain aspects of the guide may need to be clarified. Consequently, for both reasons, the International Social Justice Commission has now withdrawn the guide for appropriate review.
Lol the commander is saying we don’t do social justice or adhere to a political party but the Bible.
Still never donating to them for putting out that bullshite message.

And which better than one like SA to show nothing is to big or off limits.
Sadly the pinkos still get a win by taking down a tradition, but the line has been drawn. Orgs/Companies better start taking heed on where the side. The time is now

I think it would help them to move out of the DC area. Historically they have done a really good job.

Give your money to the Shriners or St. Jude's, instead!
Dad of a Shriner’s patient here. My son is a healthy, thriving 23 y/o killin’ it in L.A. All that was up in the air for the first 11-12 years of his life.
Shriner’s St. Louis. No words. ‘Eternally grateful’ doesn’t begin to capture my feelings toward them. They wouldn’t take anything from us for his medical care, but they get most of my charitable giving now. Salvation Army can go play in traffic.

Yeahhh I bet their diversity chair is gonna have some tough questions asked of them at the board meetings
Alienating the whites has drastically affected their donations.
Maybe they thought they would white guilt us into giving more and more

The local chapter in my area was on our local news begging for donations saying they were down 38%, and they also couldn't find bell ringers. They can go frick themselves. They can apologize all they want. What's done is done, and I'm done with them. Will never give them another cent.

Frick em'. We can play the cancellation too. Never again another penny to that racist org.

The fact that they even have an International Social Justice Commission is reason enough for me not to donate to them.
There is a 100% chance that this commission is filled with woke racist assholes.

quote:yeh, i went out of my way to support Chic-BLM-A back when the left attacked them.
Remember the left's attempt to boycott Chick-Fil-a. It resulted in an outpouring of support and over crowded restaurants. (They later somewhat bent the knee anyway.)
no longer will i spend a dime in that woke business. the owner of Chic-BLM-A may be a Christian but he may need to study the bible in order to recognize the true life giving light and the truth of God's word.

I've never, ever, ever been limited at Goodwill.
the owner of Goodwill is a multi millionaire. he profits off of the goodwill of the American people who donate to that organization.
yes they do employ people who have difficulty finding jobs but they make at best a minimum wage.
these people live in poverty while this guy rakes in the profits.
i no longer donate or purchase from Goodwill.

Do they receive any federal funding through grants etc? Wouldn’t surprise me if this training was one of the factors that would help them score higher and be more competitive for the funding. Just my theory.
