It’s absolutely idiocy that someone thought this was a good idea since 80+ percent of your donations were coming from (me included), white honkeys!

I talked to a group of 1 male adult, white, about 38-43 years old, along with 3 teenage white girls, that were staffing a SA donation bucket outside a Hobby Lobby. I said, "I know your heart is in the right place. So I have a question for all of you. Are any of you racist or hold any racist beliefs. This is not a trick question and I'm not judging."

Of course they each said "No. No way. Why are you asking?"

So I asked, "Would any of you ever work for someone who thought and treated you as if you were a racist?"

Of course, they all said no and asked again why I was asking.

So I explained to them that the SA had come out in the last month with a position on Racism, and in doing so, came out and stated, “All white people are racist. Even if they don't realize it."

The adult said he hadn't read that or heard it and didn't believe me. So I asked him, "Can I show you the pamphlet on Racism that they published and the exact statement?"

So I had bookmarked it just for this reason and was able to show it to him. He just stood there shaking his head as he read it to himself. I asked him to read it back to the girls. He declined, handed me back my phone and said," You're right. I don't know how I feel about that right now. I need to go online and see why they'd state something like that. It doesn't make sense."

He thanked me and I just said, "I thought you should know. We have always given to this organization but I'm on pause until this is retracted and the person responsible is removed from their organization."

At least I started a conversation.

Yep heard it many times. I even recorded some of it on my phone.
It’s a complete 180 reversal and groveling in the extreme. I don’t think it will work though.

Probably not, for the same reason as the woke bs they pulled.

Bunch of fricking word salad that doesn’t address the fact that their organization has accused all white people of being racist.

Comments are turned off too.

frick the Salvation Army. I’ll never give them another penny!

Jon Gruden was fired for a 10 year old off the cuff email that allegedly was racist in manner.
The Salvation Army leaders published a recent prepared statement that is racist to white people accusing all of them of something that 99% have never done.
And their leaders don't think they should step down??

Too little too late. They can’t unring the bell. Pun intended. They’re only apologizing because it is costing them money, not because they didn’t mean to say it. F em.

The local one here implemented the policy. Though, of course, they don't post it anywhere, you find out ONLY WHEN you try to donate something.

i was listening to the radio and waiting for the sincerity or even glimmer of such but what i heard was....people are in need, the implication it's bad not to give, tradition, misinformation, against racism, kinda sorry, give, we are against racism and standing on it.....well no, no actually... you simply aren't against racism if you ascribe a way of being and active behavior and intention to a whole group of people due to a lazy classification. so many ways to help those in need, i simple do not need to pass through their hands. i cannot help but think "equity" has probably been inserted into whatever matrix they use to distribute aid...it would in effect make my donation an act of racism. i would not want to support an organization that so disdained white people. if they are disrespectful and belligerent towards those they seek to profit from, how do they treat those who are desperate, ashamed, and hurting

It's got to be the dumbest move in non-profit history. I would bet 90% of their donors are nice white working class conservative people and they call their donor base racists.

same here, it's my #1 charity to give money to. It made me sad when they went woke, it was my favorite charity, and i did see the good work they did locally, but as a donator, i had to make a tough choice. If they do really apologize and are sincere, i might come back next season.
