I certainly agree with the notion. People are and should be free to to give as much or as little as they choose.

But. We’re talking billionaires, not millionaires or multi-millionaires. Most people don’t understand big numbers.

One million seconds is roughly 11.5 DAYS. One billion seconds is 31.7 YEARS.

We don’t know how much of their wealth is cash, cash equivalents or otherwise liquid assets, but a few million dollars a year is insignificant to billionaires.

For those of us that love our state, our home, our university and, yes, football, we would give large chunks of ‘insignificant’ to be competitive. It’s frustrating when real billionaires don’t feel the same way.

Hard to believe, huh? Almost exactly 15 years ago. It feels hopeless. And we’ve got seven more of these games to endure this season. As the losses pile up (blowouts, not the one score games like last season), surely there will be a tipping point . Someone, somewhere with some type of authority does SOMETHING more than pass a ‘resolution’. The first step, of course, is Yurachek. And his replacement has to be an Arkansas boy. After that, who knows.

We have seven more of these games to endure this season. As each loss piles up, it’s going to become unbearable. Some will be worse than others. Even though Vanderbilt is much improved, it’s going to ‘feel’ worse because they’re still, well, Vanderbilt.

Surely, between now and December, there’s a tipping point. Where someone, somewhere, that has some type of authority does SOMETHING.

That’s what makes it feel hopeless. NO ONE in the PTB seem to care.
