We aren't pulling our troops or assets out of Europe.

That's quite strange of you to equate the beverage of Champions to World War 2.

I say Trump and Rubio are bluffing. We won't have any mass closings of US military bases in Europe.

Why are we asking if we can use them. Just do it, what are the spineless Europeans gonna do about it?

No, but we might relocate them to Eastern Europe.

Sure.

This was reported by western media outlets before the war.

Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in European history, it has been nothing but a money laundering entity for the MIC and democrat party.

Rubio: If Europe won’t allow us to use the bases we man and fund for their defense when we need them we ought to close them down and remove our troops from Europe. If they get attacked by Russia we can discuss whether or not we have the time to help

Let’s just do it. Enough with those ungrateful assholes. Let them fend for themselves for a while

It isnt Russia they should worry about. Europe will be Chinese slaves within a generation of us pulling our military out.

It’s not as if the USA didn’t WANT bases in Europe and they were placed there and manned by Americans against our will.

We chose to because it serves a Purpose.

So Cheer along if you want, I understand the sentiment.

But understand that it is essentially cheering to reduce America’s ability to influence….

I bet Europe would have allowed the US to do whatever we want if we had tried to make a coalition of the willing before the war like the first Bush did when we invaded to take back Kuwait. There were NATO forces there. NATO members also in other conflicts shoulder to should with their American friends.

Well yes. Both efforts in Iraq by Bush I and Bush II saw much more diplomacy and public interaction than this effort took, and arguably, this effort was far more consequential. The lack of priming both allies and the public about the realities of the operation was a real oversight on the part of the Trump admin.

We could put our money and resources into those European countries that help us.

Exactly. Should have done that before this operation but here we are. It's not too late to get some cooperation and form a coalition. The issue will get urgent in the coming weeks.
