I don’t practice criminal law, but wouldn’t that also result in an acquittal? The prosecution only gets one bite at the apple. If they f$&k up and the defendant walks, they don’t get to appeal.

If it is true (which I highly doubt), I have to assume it favors Rittenhouse because a retrial would require new jury members and the prosecution wouldn't be able to slip different video evidence again.
Considering the threats even at the judge, clearly the court would make even more efforts to withhold the identities of the jurors. Also the intimidation tactics require funding for those involved, so who knows the appetite for increased funding since anonymity will make it more difficult.
Granted I don't know Wisconsin law on retrials, states can be idiosyncratic with their rules since there is the long held question of the constitutionality of retrials to begin with, albeit in practice it hasn't mattered.

I find it pretty questionable, this supposed comment by defense counsel. Much about it doesn't fit the typical circumstances. For defense counsel to make such a definitive statement, it would necessarily require that he had an insider info conversation with someone who has first hand knowledge of the goings on in jury room, most likely a bailiff guarding the door. That's the only way. Which I highly doubt if that were the case that counsel would advertise it in such an open way for all to see, particularly the judge. Mark me down for "anti this".
