After watching the video, it does not appear to me that the woman was attempting to run over anyone with her vehicle. She was trying to get away. The officer who did the shooting will probably face a homicide charge at the very least. ETA: I'm a conservative and three-time Trump voter. If you don't like my post, IDGAF.

By driving into an ICE agent? Think about how that might work out? Then take a look at how that worked out. Did you accurately anticipate the likely consequences of putting an officer in fear of serious bodily injury?

Her car hit the guy, probably within half a second of his firing. It's easy to say in hindsight that he could have avoided shooting, but this is all happening so quickly that he doesn't have time to think about whether she's turning at a sufficient angle to not be a threat.

law enforcement are not robots. They are not superhuman.

He fires right as she’s hitting him. At that point, the decision is made. There is no time to process, “Oh, she only kind of hit me” in a quarter of a second.

You are trying to apply hindsight to a split second decision.

That woman should not have been blocking the road, and should not have reversed and sped off after being told to get out.

In hindsight, it wouldve been better to shoot the tires and arrest the libtard

If by “aggravating” you mean attempting murder, then okay.

Anyone who thinks she was trying to run the officer over is a moron. She was trying to flee.

That said, in fleeing, she struck a federal law enforcement officer with her vehicle which is an immediate threat to life and justified lethal force.

I don’t like any of this at all and I won’t cheer for her death. She shouldn’t have been there doing what she was doing though.

Also, her wife was apparently there. I’d bet mucho dinero it was her lesbian lover who radicalized her.

If she were trying to turn away from the officer her vehicle very likely would have turned more if not whipped around completely after she was shot and lost control

people like you are the reason why she's dead. She listened to you morons tell her it's ok to drive to another state and protest during the fricking day for some Somalians instead of worrying about and taking care of her family.

I'd be interested in reading that poem... the only partial one I saw so far was about destroying Bibles.

While it may be true that she did not intend to run the officer over with her car (we don’t know that but let’s say she did not intend), that is immaterial. A car can be legally defined as a dangerous weapon per state law. Just as if I point a gun at you, it doesn’t matter if I really intend to shoot you or not. What matters is if you have a reasonable expectation of being seriously injured that justifies your use of deadly force in self defense. And in just about every legal jurisdiction, you would be justified in using deadly force in self defense if I point a gun at you. The same applies here. Was the officer in reasonable expectation of being seriously injured by the woman driving her car? I think he was. He was in front of the car, the car contacted his body, he shot through the front windshield not the side window, and the woman was belligerent and defiant to officers’ actions.

Now, it would not surprise me if this officer is indeed charged by Minnesota officials because we have entered an age of emotional and political prosecutions and lawfare. We have seen an officer charged in Atlanta for shooting a suspect after the suspect attacked an officer, took a taser, and pointed the taser at the officer, for example.
