Teacher should be fired immediately for being an idiot of history regarding her moronic claims about the origins of police.

This is the kind of crap I have been talking about. This person most likely has a lot of higher education. But, she reasons like a damn child. There is more to education and intellect than how much time you spend in a damn University. Do I hold higher ed as being important? Yes. Is it the be all end all? No way. I don't want to be like her and lump all higher ed people into the child reasoning group and I hope she is an exception. But, I fear she is not.
The most important thing you learn in academics is the ability to reason. I would bet most would say they do not use a lot of what they concrete learned in university in their everyday jobs. What you learn after is way more important in your life. But these reasoning skills I'm afraid are not being cultivated, or they are outright being corrupted.

This isn't shocking if you've been in college the last few years. I was a non traditional student after military and played their games. When the Nike shite was going on, I did do a presentation on law enforcement and brought in a female state trooper

It is important in some positions and aspects but past a 4 year degree in most fields, experience counts for much more than education...
The other issue that your didn't mention here is somewhere along the lines, teaching became the profession for those that cannot be successful anywhere else... Not saying all teachers suck but it sure appears that most of them do today and it doesn't have to do with the amount of the their education BUT more to do with their intellect and drive....

Bitches like this talk a big game trashing police until they need to police.
And yes, that kid should've called bullshite on her origins of the police dept.
The first police depts were in Boston, NYC, Albany, and Chicago. The first police dept was created to protect goods coming from the harbor into the businesses in Boston.
Someone ask this dumb fricking bitch how many runaway slaves were hanging out in Chicago.
That kid has a good head on his shoulders. She's pissed she can't "turn" him.

She actually said she wouldn’t call the police if someone entered her home with a gun to harm her. That it would be “her time to go”... i have a feeling this is more in theory line of thinking and she would change her tune if some shite actually went down.

Yeah, let's test that.

Got 12 points counted off on my first test for putting BC and AD and not BCE and CE.
Should have asked her where she got her frame of reference for “BCE and CE.”

Police are just like teachers, there are good ones and bad ones (just like that teacher).

They may all be, they might not be. My consideration for a hero are firefighters and social workers who do monitored visits for abusive spouses and parents.
The discussion is free speech and the question is good in that it questions public doctrine.

I did. She said it was common era, and then I asked her what do I really have in common now with an Eastern European peasant born in 500 “””CE”””. Maybe it’s more to do with Jesus, but she said that’s simply offensive to non-Christians to suggest that. So from that day forward put CE and BCE in quotation marks on my tests which pissed her off.
I’ll put it this way: it escalated to the point where she tried to get me thrown out of school for plagiarizing an arts and crafts project that a literal 2 year old could do. She gave us an art project to draw something and tell us what it means in religion. I half arse it to the extreme and draw a rainbow that took like 5 minutes and then tell her what the colors mean in Buddhism. Well next class she tells me to stay behind for a minute, tells me she hopes I enjoyed my time at Ole Miss, because I’m about to be expelled for plagiarism for not citing where I got the information on Buddhism.
I know this isn’t going to work, so 4:00 on Friday afternoon I have a preliminary hearing while a baseball game was going on and some guy in his mid-20s comes in, sees the assignment, and rightly gets super pissed that he had to come into work for an arts and crafts project when he could be at the baseball game right now. Come back in on Monday to the class and just is loud and obnoxious as humanly possible just giving her shite that she failed to get me expelled. Got a D in the class at the end.

I’m curious:
According to her “logic” it’s ok to malign all LEOs because of some bad apples. Let’s apply that same “logic” to a different profession.
Every few weeks, we see an example of a female teacher who is guilty of having sexual relations with an underage student.
If she’s happy to malign all LEOs for a few bad officers then she should be happy to do the same with all teachers.
I’d bet my house she would have some snarky and idiotic reason why it doesn’t apply.

And we wonder why these college kids are so f'd up?
Police were created to catch runaway slaves? That's a complete lie. This woman isn't teaching, she's indoctrinating.

There were slave patrols in the southern colonies, but that wasn’t the genesis for the police. Police department/forces developed in the northern states starting in the 1830s. They were similar in development to police forces in England.

Wasn’t it older than the 1830s? As far as I’m aware, we just inherited English Common Law’s systems when it came to policing and the only difference is we could say whatever the frick we wanted.
