Too bad he can't do that. At all.
Well I had to go to the source to see what people are crying about.
quote:
Mike Wirth, Chairman and CEO of Chevron, just gave, in an interview with the fabulous Maria Bartiromo, all of the reasons that his company is doing so well. The only thing he conveniently forgot to mention is that, without the genius, foresight, strength, and stability, of the Trump Administration, the Oil Industry, and our Country itself, would be DEAD! As an example, they threw Mike and Chevron out of Venezuela, but now they’re back, far bigger and stronger than ever before, expecting to make a fortune! That goes for other Oil Companies as well…and get your consumer (retail!) Oil Prices DOWN, NOW! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT
And like clockwork, the men on here cry like fricking women.

What a disingenuous article title. He didn’t order shot as he can’t do that.
But he’s also not wrong.
When oil goes up, gas stations immediately raise prices even though they’re still on the tank they paid less for.
When prices come down they take quite some time to follow suit.
It’s always been this way

Except he IS wrong to go after oil & gas operators and make them out to be the bad guys. Chevron ain’t setting the prices at your Stripes and Buccee’s.
So either he himself is ignorant on this subject and just rambling like senile Biden, or he does know better but it putting out disingenuousness shite to the low IQ portion of his base.

that's pretty socialist and not very capitalistic of him

I don't necessarily disagree with you but it's a lot more complicated than that. Oil,Natural Gas, gasoline, diesel, etc are all HEAVILY traded on the NYMEX Futures market. You're not going to get a lot of brokers to just take one for the team. Wirth has to answer to shareholders. He can't just tell people to sell for "X." In Spring 2020 when Covid was keeping people off the road gasoline, and other energy futures, tanked. Some units were sold in the negative just to clear positions.
Energy futures market is huge and complicated. Trump HAS to know that. You've got people looking at charts and such predicting "up" or "down" at a target $ if a line on a chart gets to a certain level.
It certainly would be nice if gasoline prices went down, but Mike Wirth telling futures brokers, pretty please sell your positions isn't going to happen.

Socialism would be the government taking over Chevron.
Like what happened in venezuela.

Trump doesn’t know oil is boom and bust…….happens in cycles…without the boom the oil won’t be there in the future… if it is just bust with no boom all oil is left in the ground……

Dude is such a bitch at this point…
The first year of his second term was rocking and rolling, the last 6 months has been a clusterfrick and now, as usual, he tries to blame everyone but himself. Yes, prices go up faster than they come down, but they were sub $3 natl average before your Iran bullshite you can’t get yourself out of. You did this and nobody else.
Dude has 0 humility.

Trump sounds like Obama in 2011:
quote:
In a bid to deflect voters' anger, Obama has called for an end to tax breaks for oil and gas companies, opened a probe of market speculators and urged world producers to raise output.
