What a retard Trump has turned out to be.

"They threw Mike and Chevron out of Venezuela, but now they're back, far bigger and stronger than ever before, expecting to make a fortune," Trump wrote.
So, the American taxpayer footed the bill for Chevron to move back into Venezuela, and conservatives want me to be upset that Trump is asking for them to help the American taxpayer in return?
I just can't find the will to be outraged over Trump trying to get a ROI for the people.

I’ll play with that argument. Isn’t necessarily a bad one.
How do you propose Chevron force Buccee’s and Stripes to lower their gasoline prices?

Not to mention the price is only "artificially high" because of the Iran conflict. Was Chevron lobbying Trump to attack Iran? If not I don't see how this is their problem.

I agree.

Buccees and stripes have a set margin on their fuel products. It moves up and down with the price they are paying for it. Chevron and others are using market volatility to boost profits. You really cannot blame them. Trump is calling them out on using this conflict to inflate prices/profit. I do not agree with trump doing so unless they have broken any laws. If they have hammer them for it. Using world markets to inflate markets is also shady as the local oil is cheaper even if you factor in shipping.

How are they doing this? Other than selling their produced oil to the highest bidder willing to pay for it?

Thing is that WTI demand (and therefore price folks are willing to pay) goes up as there’s less confidence in ME oil being able to make it out of port and to destinations.

Damnit he’s making a fool of himself.

They have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders to do so.

Oh I don’t know, could be a useless war in the Middle East started by the Trumper that’s impacting pricing. Don’t let Benny Netanyahu manipulate US into handling Israel’s wars next time.
