Try reading the posts, specifically teh language quoted. In this case, it's this:
quote:
There’s no scenario in which we allow late-arriving foreigners to displace Americans in industries, communities, and cities on a large scale without them eventually displacing Americans in our universities.
I bolded to help you.
That's what I was responding to. Students were everything being discussed. You can use the context of this thread subject to help, if the quoted language doesn't guide you.

Our demographics haven't changed abruptly in the past 2 generations with Indains. Why are y'all so dramatically dishonest?
Indians are a part of it and last I checked this thread is about a dramatic Indian telling Texans to GTFO of their own state
They are the second largest country of origin after Mexico
quote:
Over the past ~50 years (roughly two generations, from ~1970 to 2024–2026), U.S. demographic change has been heavily shaped by immigration (legal and unauthorized) plus the U.S.-born children of immigrants under birthright citizenship (jus soli). The total U.S. population grew from about 203 million in 1970 to roughly 340 million recently (an increase of more than 120–137 million). Immigrants and their descendants account for a large share of that growth.
usatoday.com
Overall Demographic ShiftsForeign-born population: Rose from an all-time low of 4.7% (about 9.6 million) in 1970 to 14.3–14.8% (47.8–50+ million) by 2023–2024. This is near or at historical highs last seen around 1890.
pewresearch.org
Racial/ethnic composition (non-Hispanic White share fell sharply):Non-Hispanic White: ~83.5% in 1970 ? ~56.3% recently.
Hispanic: ~4.4% ? ~20%.
Asian: <1% ? ~6%.
Post-1965 Immigration and Nationality Act changes shifted origins heavily toward Latin America and Asia (previously more European-focused). Immigrants and their U.S.-born children have driven most population growth in recent decades; in some recent years, net migration accounted for essentially all growth amid low native birth rates.
pewresearch.org
A 2015 Pew analysis (covering 1965–2015) found that immigrants who arrived in that period plus their children and grandchildren accounted for about 55% of the population increase (72 million out of 131 million growth). Without post-1965 immigration, the population would have been substantially smaller and less diverse (e.g., Hispanics closer to 8% rather than ~18% at that time; Asians near 1% rather than 6%). Updated figures show tens of millions more immigrants arrived since then.
pewresearch.org
Legal ImmigrationLegal permanent residents (green cards/LPRs) have numbered in the hundreds of thousands to over 1 million most years since the 1970s–1980s (with spikes from legalizations, family reunification, employment, and refugees/asylees). Cumulative grants of LPR status since the 1970s total in the tens of millions (roughly on the order of 40+ million person-admissions when summing annual figures, though the living stock is lower due to deaths, emigration, and naturalization). The foreign-born stock (which includes naturalized citizens, LPRs, some temporary residents, and unauthorized) is now ~48–50+ million.
Roughly half or more of the foreign-born are naturalized citizens in recent data (~25 million). Annual naturalizations have often been in the 600k–800k+ range in recent decades.
Most immigrants (historically ~75%+) have legal status at any given time, though the unauthorized share has fluctuated.
pewresearch.org
Unauthorized (Illegal) ImmigrationEstimates (primarily residual methods using Census/ACS data adjusted with administrative records) show large growth:~3.5 million in 1990.
Peaked at ~12.2 million around 2007.
Declined somewhat to ~10.5–11 million by the late 2010s.
Rose again: Pew estimates reached a record ~14 million in 2023; other estimates (e.g., MPI) put mid-2024 around 15.8 million.
pewresearch.org
This reflects net accumulation (new entries/visa overstays minus departures, deaths, and legalizations). There is significant turnover. Unauthorized immigrants have typically been ~20–27% of the total foreign-born in recent estimates. Growth was especially rapid from the 1990s to mid-2000s and again post-2019/2021.Birthright Citizenship (U.S.-Born Children of Immigrants)U.S.-born children of non-citizens (including unauthorized and temporary legal status) automatically receive citizenship under current interpretation of the 14th Amendment. These numbers compound the demographic impact beyond first-generation immigrants.Births to unauthorized immigrant mothers: Rose from ~120,000 (~3% of U.S. births) in 1990 to a peak of ~380,000 around 2006–2007, then fell, and recently stood around 215,000–300,000 (Pew data for recent years; ~300,000 in 2023 for unauthorized mothers alone in one series). Including temporary legal status mothers, ~320,000 births in 2023 (~9% of total U.S. births of ~3.6 million).
pewresearch.org
Cumulative: Roughly 5.1 million births to unauthorized immigrant mothers between 2006 and 2023 alone. Broader estimates of living U.S.-born people with at least one unauthorized parent run into the millions (e.g., ~4.6 million children under 18 plus additional adults in one recent Pew figure).
These U.S.-citizen children later enable family sponsorship pathways once they reach adulthood.
In summary (orders of magnitude in millions over ~2 generations): Foreign-born stock rose by ~38–40+ million (from ~10 million to ~48–50+ million).
Unauthorized stock rose by roughly 10–12+ million net (from low single digits to 14–16 million range, with peaks and troughs).
Legal permanent admissions and naturalizations number in the tens of millions cumulatively.
Birthright citizenship has produced several million additional U.S. citizens who are children of non-citizens (particularly unauthorized parents), with annual flows of 0.2–0.4 million in peak periods.
Data come primarily from U.S. Census Bureau/ACS, Pew Research Center residual estimates, Migration Policy Institute, and DHS Office of Homeland Security Statistics. Estimates of the unauthorized population involve statistical modeling and have ranges/uncertainty; recent years show higher figures amid elevated border encounters and policy changes. Figures are stocks (people present) or flows (admissions/births) as noted—stocks are lower than cumulative inflows due to mortality, emigration, and status changes.
Strangely we are the only ones told to shut up and accept our decline while millions pour in changing the demographic

Indians make up about 1.63% of people in the US in total. In Texas, it's slightly higher at 1.8% (Texas is the state with the 2nd largest Indian population, but it's still an extreme minority group)

So I am not supposed to have an opinion on their immigration because of that?

Here is the pertinent language

1.63% is not an "abrupt demographic change"

Absolutely incorrect. The south I grew up in was yes ma’am, no sir, wave when you passed on the road, open the door for ladies, respect authority, etc. Importing third world immigrants from areas where they have to fight to get ahead, drive with no laws or order, perceive being dishonest in business dealings as how to get ahead, all this makes it harder to continue to be polite and do things with a handshake. Maybe some of y’all are too young to know how it was, but I do. I remember watching people order drinks at an all inclusive resort about 40 years ago. I could tell who was from the south and who was a yankee.
