I mean it is a major change is in the timeline. The answer of "what was Paddock doing right before shooting into the crowd?" Is answered. He was shooting a security guard. It also poses a lot more questions.
A lot of the conspiracy theorists on here have stated they believe he was linked to some extremist group. If so, I would expect we won't hear anything until further arrests are made. People need to pick one of (I) I want this investigated thoroughly or (ii) I want all the info now:

The security guard didn’t die did he? What was he doing during the shootings? I would think the original timeline would be based off what the guard told investigators.

Most everyone understands the need to be tight lipped in an in going investigation but that hasn't been the case at all. Hell the brother of the shooter gave two ad libbed interviews with the media for 30 min plus. There are no gag orders on this one.

6 minutes later paddock opens up on crowd
10 minutes later paddock stops shooting
3 minutes later security guard finds cops below.
Tells cops exact location of shooter.

Where was guard shot in the leg for 19 minutes. Why does he appear 3 minutes after shooting stops. Was he going down stairs and ran into cops? When then and not 16 minutes sooner.

Nah, I would imagine that smashing out two huge windows in separate areas created quite a bit of noise. The noise was probably reported and the security guard was sent up to investigate the complaint.

I don't trust the local cops on this one. The only thing the security guard has said is "I was just doing my job". I suspect that the local cops don't like sharing valor.

I honestly don't know what to believe anymore at this point. None of these time lines make sense, if anything it points to more conspiracy theories

If this is actually right,it makes me think that (maybe,just maybe),shooting up the concert wasn't paddocks original intention.
He may have been setting up for something else entirely,like a huge heist or something.
The security guard fricked it all up.

Ballistics are always relative,no matter where you are doing your shooting. To my understanding,what was scribbled down were just numbers,and they had to figure out what they were.( Should have been pretty clear)
All different ammo has different characteristics,and if you are using different types,having notes just makes sense.
Now if his note specifically mentions distances to the stage,concession stands,gates etc.. I will agree with you,that the numbers were meant for shooting up the concert. If it is just ballistic notes,then that changes the assumption.
My understanding though,is that the note was just numbers.
The tannerite,and ammonia Nitrate in his vehicle,also seem to be odd. What was his plan for those?
All of this stuff is too strange to just accept at face value.

That is certainly one possibility. I'm not sure this revelation really changes the perceived truthiness of the story one bit. We had a story that was missing A LOT of information. We have a story that is missing A LOT of information now. There just aren't enough available puzzle pieces to see the picture one way or the other right now.

How the hell did he fire 200 rounds at the security guard and only hit him once in the leg? That guard is one lucky mofo. Also, I thought the whole reason he offed himself when he did was because the security guard showed up. Did he run out of ammo then off himself or something?

Ask the parking valets. It's been reported that they heard the glass from the busted out windows when it hit the ground. If true, something tells me the valets could put a time line on the window controversy.
