Police: Vegas shooter shot security guard BEFORE opening fire on the crowd

So the narrative for the last week has been how this brave, unarmed security guard was able to distract Stephen Paddock from the concert crowd, thus bringing his massacre to an end. Now police are saying that narrative is false.
The security guard was actually shot six minutes BEFORE Paddock began killing pedestrians at the country music festival.

This makes no damn sense

So was the security guard just strolling around the 32nd floor checking stuff? This timeline is weird...How did the guard know what was going on in the room if shots had not been fired yet? Did Paddock just panic and open fire upon him as he was doing his patrol?

I’m an idiot that jumps to conclusions too early

This timeline makes more sense

Uh, was this addressed to me? I'm merely posting an update on the investigation. Seems to me that you're being the drama queen here.

They revised the dates he stayed at hotel. Crack team of investigators on this case. Someone finally have the brainstorm to check his reservation in the computer? Brilliant!

So maybe him putting cameras into the hallway, leaving the door cracked, set off an alarm that sent a security guard to his room.
If this is the true timeline, then the shooting could have been much worse and lasted much longer.

Confrontation with the guard sent him over the edge maybe? Guard saw all the guns and freaked out?

The whole thing is bullshite as their narrative collapses

Valid point and I sincerely apologize, I just keep reading and seeing so much speculation around this case that will take weeks if not months to investigate. Too many people are jumping to conclusions and it frustrates me.
Again, I apologize and I’ll edit my post.

Sounds like he was already sent over the edge. Apparently he fired over 200 rounds of ammunition into the hallway.

Have you ever followed an investigation of this magnitude? Things change, even timelines as the investigation unfolds. Let it play out, you’re not important and you don’t need to know everything about an investigation into a mass murder/terrorist attack
It's one thing for official information or timelines to correct previous leaks or assumptions. However, the entire narrative for the last week was provided by authorities, and it was all wrong.
This isn't the official report contradicting rumors & speculation. This is the authorities fueling conspiracies and speculation.

Dispute with another hotel guest? I would be interested to see what that security guard was doing up there.

Paddock had cameras in the hall. He prolly saw the guy coming and just opened fire since he was getting ready to shoot into the crowd anyway.

Steve Wynn, who owns several casinos/hotels in Vegas said this Paddock dude would have never pulled that shite off in any of his hotels.
Wynn said every room that is occupied is checked every 12 hours and they also use extra security at all entrances with metal detecting equipment. But then again Wynn said 2 years ago that Vegas was a target rich environment, which is why he had all the security tightened.

so why was security up there, and armed?
why didnt the cameras immediately then report the action?
this is as stupid as the last attempt at a failed narrative for the gun running bullshite.

So if I wanted to have a 24 hour sex party they'd come poke their head in halfway?

Steve Wynn also has every interest in assuring people (1) Vegas is safe and (2) his hotels are particularly safe. I'm just saying...
