The breaking of the glass maybe? Then the security guard. makes sense.

Strange Paddock didn't come out and kill the guard/make sure he was dead.
Nothing in this fiasco makes any sense.

Paddock had cameras in the hall. He prolly saw the guy coming and just opened fire since he was getting ready to shoot into the crowd anyway.
I kind of suggested that in my post. But, for a guy that planned all this and had cameras in the hallway, why not just let the security guard walk past and be none the wiser?

Apparently he fired over 200 rounds of ammunition into the hallway.
swat should have been immediate if not sooner
I agree, all of these scenarios are off.

Crazy people sometimes do t act rationally. Instead they do things like fire into a crowd.

Per Wynn, only if you had placed the status of the room as "do not disturb", company policy is to go and check on the guests/room. Paddock had his room status as DND for 3 days.

how do we know paddock did the shooting and not the security guard

Steve Wynn also has every interest in assuring people (1) Vegas is safe and (2) his hotels are particularly safe. I'm just saying...
If what Wynn says is true about security measures at his properties then he has been ahead of the curve on extra security for the safety of his paying guests and the public in general.

The security guard walked in on a CIA arms deal.

Possibly, I just wouldn't take anything he says as some kind of "truth" about this incident. Some people seem to be treating him as if he isn't just a guy out there promoting his business.

How is it that we still essentially know nothing a week after
Posted on 10/9/17 at 9:30 pm to RollTide1987
Is this the police's way of easing us into the fact that the guard may have been the accomplice (which is why we haven't seen him in the media, etc.)?

Active investigation? Possibly a link to some organization and they don't want to tip there hand.
Plus there are details leaking out, they just haven't been given any context yet.

Guard could have been the way Paddock got all the guns into the room. The inside man.

It doesn't seem like any significant details have been leaked. When the security guard got killed really doesn't have any significant bearing on the investigation.

The article makes it very clear, in three separate statements, that investigators believe he was acting alone. Seems like quite the switcheroo.

Steve Wynn would not have even seen this coming.
