DEI because let me guess, you are an idiot?

This guy is unqualified to be SecDef. There is no major anywhere with enough experience to do this job. A guy that can’t keep his pants zipped when he is away from home is a security risk.

He was a major in the Army with two Bronze stars in combat.

I don’t believe his Bronze Stars were awarded for valor in combat. They hand out bronze stars to officers in war zones like candy.
That being said, I think he’s probably a good pick. John Bolton was on CNN earlier whining that Hegseth was just a yes man who wouldn’t tell Trump no when ordered to send the 82nd airborne into Portland

People are human, he volunteered for combat.

He outranks leon panetta. No one melted over his military record. Which is inferior to Hagseths

Was David Patreus a security risk too? The idea that soldiers are a bunch of boy scouts is a huge myth. The best soldiers are hyper aggressive and full of testosterone. They’re gonna frick chicks.
Besides, the Hegseth pick appears to be for cleaning up the culture of th DOD.

If tweet fails to load, click here. HOLY SMOKES:
@ScottJenningsKY
just went scorched earth on Carl Bernstein and CNN panel defending Pete Hegseth —
— while excoriating current Pentagon leadership over their disastrous record.
??????
“Does anyone have confidence in the current leadership of the Pentagon? And the way the defense situation has been operating for the last several years? I mean, from the Afghanistan pullout, which was an extreme debacle for which no one was held accountable. We've had spy balloons flying over the United States. We built a $300 million pier as a public relations stunt, which wound up killing an American service member.
"I hear all the criticism of him is that he's not the expected Washington pick. And I'm just saying to you that the American people just voted against the expected Washington pick."
"He's got 20 years in service. Afghanistan, Iraq. Two bronze stars. Princeton, Harvard. Yeah, he's on TV, but so are the rest of us."

Scott Jennings has been incredible this election cycle.
Posted on 11/12/24 at 11:23 pm to BamaScoop
Here is his entire bio (for better or for worse):
Army ROTC program at Princeton; after graduating in 2003
Second lieutenant, served at Guantanamo Bay as a part of the New Jersey Army National Guard.[3] He remained there until 2005.
First lieutenant, deployed with the 3rd Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division to Baghdad, Iraq.
Served as an infantry platoon leader. Toward the end of his tour, in 2006, he served as a civil-military operations officer in Samarra.
He returned to active duty in 2012 as a captain.
Deployed to Afghanistan as a senior counterinsurgency instructor at the Counterinsurgency Training Center in Kabul.
Currently a major, serves in the Individual Ready Reserve
Fun fact: Looks like he was on Trump's short list (during Trump's 1st term) to be Sec of VA
