The Left is facing an issue where they are having to reach for groups who define themselves further and further from the norm of societal behavior just to maintain some relevance. For years many here have predicted that pedophiles would be the next group. While this isn't exactly the DNC courting child rapists, it is pedophiles recognizing that they see an opening for political acceptance on the Left and are taking steps toward that (conversely, they realize they have no chance at all trying to do this with the Right).

In my opinion, pedophiles aren't a logical target. Now polygamy/polyandry? That could grow legs.

All of this might be true if sex and gender were considered to be identical. I understand and appreciate that you view sex and gender to be identical. That doesn't change the fact that a rather large segment of the population doesn't consider them to be identical, and in fact, defines them differently.

They might “feel” they are a female when they are a male and they might take actions to further solidify their view that they are a female when they are a male by dressing like a female, talking like a female, and even having sexual reassignment surgery or take hormones to feel like a female.
In that same vein, I “feel” like I’m 15 despite being older than that. I can take actions to present myself as a 15 year old. I can wear kids clothes, adopt a special diet to conform to the looks I desire, take hormones, alter my mannerisms and speech etc.
“Feeling” like a 15 year old doesn’t magically turn me into a 15 year old. Just like “feeling” like I’m a woman when I’m a man doesn’t magically change my chromosomes.
They are BOTH lies and bullshite. NEITHER should be accepted. NEITHER should be normalized.
Yet you’re too dense to see that they are the exact same. A mental disorder that people have that makes them “feel” they are something they aren’t.
No amount of surgery, therapy, hormones, or rationalizing will make them normal.

Gender is a social reflection of sex. While not "identical", they're directly tied to one another and don't operate independently as the social science academics have been indoctrinating people to believe
