I bet it will pass. Not sure how it will be handled in the courts though.

Reason I post this though is this is how the left will go after guns.

“If you can’t hunt, you don’t need a gun”.

Dems are already talking about packing the courts, and they’ll use this law and packed courts to ban guns.

Then there will be no way to stop the Marxist revolution once the population is disarmed.

Oregon is what happens when an outdoorsy area gets overwhelmed with transplants from California.

They already fricked the lumber industry up there and are trying to frick everything else up while they are at it.

From my cold dead fingers - Charlton Heston and many millions of others owning hundreds of millions of guns.

More than half the population live in the Portland metro. Than area will vote overwhelmingly to pass it.

Most every other area will have to vote against it for it to not pass.

This is the third time they've attempted this, just FWIW

*ETA: this is a bill being pushed by citizen initiatives and not a law crafted by legislators, FWIW. Basically enough environmental activists have tired this multiple times before and its failed every time.

Are you seeing the people they are electing? How can you possibly say that confidently?

As long as Oregon is part of the US, the 2A applies.

Yes and there are certainly enough nutjobs there to get things put on a ballot. But that’s the extent for this one. Both parties are against it and its own campaign even admits it’s just to raise awareness.

The Marxist revolution will be eliminated during the process of disarming

I think there is virtually no chance that it passes. And if it does then I think it can/would be overturned by their legislature.

I hope it does. Will give a ton more legitimacy to the eastern part of Oregon to become part of Idaho.
